  1. guides look crooked, some googan knock it together?
  2. Funny you say that... Talking to a mate who's dads a pro the Friday just gone and they said that a heap of Mullies were on the market... We both had a feeling they had come from the creeks. No good
  3. Thats insane! I can't believe it didn't spool you!
  4. For what you want it for, out of those two, Saltiga. Simpler main seal on the gear box in the Z series than the Sw's, and simpler drag system that's way quicker to self service after it gets dunked. Very, very hard to beat the Catalina's going around atm though...
  5. I've personally had mullies of 30lb swim into the pipes when hooked and mates have had fish to 50lb do the same. If they can get in there, there's no reason kings couldnt. Especially rats...That said, in the 4 years I've lived on the lake now I've never seen one.

  7. There are some new products in the line up as well.Wait till all you bargain hunters suss the new raider lure project series rods, they feel unreal, great blanks and components and should be priced really well to boot!
  8. Also have an as new loomis GLX pr844s that I'm gonna move on to make way for more game gear...PM if keen before it goes to ebay.
  9. I used a spool for running 3lb straight through (comes on 150yd spools I think? Was a while ago now anyway...) and it was ok but not great. Pretty prone to line burn and I would have to retie knots pretty often. Supple, but not durable. Not sure if the leader is a different hardness, but if its the same as the straight through stuff I wouldn't be using it as leader...V hards great but so expensive, just stick to fc rock can't go wrong.
  10. I've got a 2500 luvias up on here cheap as that has had the drag bearing upgrade, and I will happily spool with a fresh spool of 15lb tuffline I have sitting here at home...
  11. if its in good nick get the imx blend (so long as its that model) loomis dsr 820s that dancing bream has for sale up here. not as 'blingy' but a great rod for big bream and its up here for a bargain. reel wise go a 2500 daiwa, something from the sol/kix platform are the best bang for buck imo.cheers, matt.
