  1. I use a couple of surplus soft camera bags. You can get 'em at cheap as chips etc in different sizes with cliplock tops & little pockets inside & out. Perfect.
  2. Woops, apologies from me too snake. I was thinking "water snake".........Good thing scrapping the advertiser bit, I've always struggled with that reading caper.
  3. Good stuff WS,I'm havin' a crack at 'em lateley anyway. So If I can jag one It'll be a plus to give the cash to charity too. Form a queue for the Onk & lake everyone!
  4. Great fish & great story Alikat. And what a fantastic experience to share with your son. Good on ya both!
  5. I popped into Wirrina a couple of weeks ago while I was down that way and there was a no fishing sign at the dam.Pete
  6. I,ve always loved a good rack :woohoo:
  7. Go you Port boys....Power and Magpies! We may not have had the success we want recently but we are there every week rain hail or shine...
  8. I have heard that a big weather change can bring fish on the bite. So I headed for a flick in a dam and the Onk after work last week on the day that it was 39 degrees with a late change. It was real windy, grey and humid and the temp dropped by something like 20 degrees overnight.I didn't get one hit in the couple of hours up to sunset. Can anyone say if this type of change seems to affect fish activity.
  9. I went for a fish last night in a Dam and hit the Onka at sunset. I had no hits at all and wondered if the weather had anything to do with it. With the day being so hot and then a big change heading in I thought it may increase the fish activity. Is a big change in the weather from hot to cooler or vice versa something that affects fish feeding patterns? Thanks Buzz
  10. Funny sorta thing I've been guilty of too. One night when fishing on the river with an impending emergency I just couldn't get the dolphin torch to work after loading a new battery .hissy.......until I took the thing apart and removed the plastic caps from the battery contacts ! It worked much better then. Gotta laugh.
  11. Took these pics in April 2005 and never found out what was going on. In 20+ years of driving past the Port Noarlunga jetty it is the only time I have seen this. Just for interests sake can anyone shed any light on it? ??? http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/44qyscGN__April_05_Small.JPG[/img] http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/hPTZ0cOk__April05_Small.JPG[/img] [file name=6iO3H9ww__April.05_Small size=54684]http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/6iO3H9ww__April.05_Small[/file]
