  1. G'day fishos, Hope you're all well! For my Year 11 studies, I have chosen to research the decline of snapper stocks in the Gulf of St Vincent. I have conducted a survey about this topic to help conduct with my research. I would appreciate if you could take the time out the fill in my survey! Tight lines, Tom https://goo.gl/forms/ZoFqejgdEeyGMwID3
  2. Funny you say that, we headed down to Salt Creek for a day trip to christen dad's new surf rod ( Shimano Areo Wave). anyway, he was pulling in a chunk of weed of the beach, when the split butt snapped in two! this is the third time our Shimano rods have done this. We went back to where we purchased the rod from (Anaconda) and the guy at the front desk accused us of running it over with a car! Very disappointed with Shimano rods.
  3. Thanks for the heads up Tinker! the only reason I want to try out Daiwa is because I haveroke numerous Shimano rods, which shouldn't had, as I was told by the shopkeeper.

  5. Hi everyone, I have just bought a new reel and I'm currently looking for preferably looking for a daiwa rod to suit it for Bream fishing. I'm looking at a 1-3kg rod, with the price range being around $100. if anyone has any advice where to look, r even some suggestions, that would be great! Tight lines, Tom
  6. Great Bream mate & Good mulloway!
  7. I use a mixture of cockles, bloodworms and squid when I go out. I found that it really doesn't matter what bait you use, if the whiting are down there, or in big schools, their destined to bite. But the only time that I don't use bloodworms is if the leatheries are on the chew. (It takes them longer to chew off that bait, but also gives the whiting time to get the bait.)
  8. Was that the little pond/ lake before the patawalonga?
  9. saw a good sized bluey walking along the lake.
  10. I've heard a 50+cm fish caught on Bower rd. apparently it was so old, it had moss growing off it's back. still not sure if I believe it, but it wouldn't surprise me if there is fish like that in the lake. after all, there are kingies, BIG mulloway and sharks in there too.
