Since i saw the AIRD-X combos almost 2 years ago i wanted one but to tight to pay the $250ish. BCF doing a clearance at the moment because the new AIRD 20's are out. So at 00:30 this morning before waiting to leave for the Coorong i bit the bullet. 2-4kg 2500. Club price $160 but i had a $20 voucher i won from the Gone Fishing Day so worked out to be $140. My kinda price.

Now to figure out what braid weight to run... I've always run 8lb but might go down to 6lb. Do people think that the 2lb makes a lot of difference? I've already decided on 8x J-Braid.

After i posted that before i went back to researching and was just about to go out and buy one, then checked their site before leaving and saw sold out

I actually saw the Zing this when their sale thing popped up on FB this morning. I considered it but not sure i want a 1-3kg i'm used to using 2-4kg

Then ill have to buy a reel to suit...... then braid.....

I've always used Fluro for my Bream stuff as i was always told it was invisible under water compared to Mono so just stuck with it for that reason only. With my Callop fishing i've been using a spool of platypus 20lb mono i've had kicking around for years and that takes a beating while dragging lures and spinners over snags/logs and i've never had a bust off issue yet that was caused by damaged line. Only reason i used the mono in the fresh is the water is far from clear compared to most of the salt water fishing.

I only run Sienna 2500 on the yak with different light weights. I learnt the hard way about using expensive reels. 

I've got my 2500 sienna with 15lb ready for the rong mullies. lol

Geeze.. i run 20LB and 50LB thru my SLX.. 

What he hell are you going to target with 14-4lb on a bait caster?

CURADO are the bee knees in the fresh water scene up the river from what i've seen. Get on to one i reckon they look the goods

The fishing fairy had visited my letterbox while I was at work today.

Sunday looks like the day to give them a good run. Just need to get some more jigheads I usually run the HWS ones but they are a real prick to feed into these plastics I found, going to buy some normal style jigheads.

I did try give the bait junkies a run on Monday morning but the weather blew me off the water quick smart so didn't get to test them properly. They looked pretty good in the water though. Will give them a good go on Sunday if I hit the salt and not the fresh.

I actually had to get on google.. Never seen those ones before.

Can't remember what i used to wear it's been years since i surf fished but i do remember one trip not taking any socks..... It wasn't a good time.  

I never forgot my socks after that trip, blisters for dayz! 

Do some testing and let us know how strong it is.

Never seen one like that before.. Is it a purpose built crab rake or maybe something else?

All my Bream rods are 2-4kg I have no issues with it. In saying that i've never had a 1-3kg

Do i need more squid jigs?  

The birds will be loving it!

Wow has that shop changed in stock and the bait selection is huge,expanded from one shop to three.Don't think any tackle shop in Adelaide would have that amount of bait choices on offer,plus that bait vending machine is so handy out of hours.Prices are good on tackle i won't be buying from ebay any more,so glad to see that shop pushing ahead for us fisho's.

Geeze that sounds like a damn good trip.... Reckon you will be able to travel by then?

I've done alright on the trouties on the phantom double clutch.. No bream tho!
