  1. i have just been talking to a neighbor and apparently the Pro fishermen are now wanting access to some of the restricted zones up around Price and Port Clinton and Port Arthur ,in particular the area around the price beacon which has had a restricted zone for at least 8 years (i have lived here that long) and another zone up towards the top of the gulf The Pro boats get away with going there now whats to stop them if restrictions are lifted??? The State government wants to manage recreational fishers to the point it wont be worth going fishing but let Pro fishermen do what they wan
  2. My Wife, Daughter and myself went to Pine Point, several weeks ago chasing Garfish early in the morning , she had caught several gar plus a couple of 30cm mullet, when my daughter hooked something "bigger" and was struggling. She got it to within couple of meters of land and was slowly walking to the water , my wife grabbed her and the rod and helped land a nice size Flathead - 61cm and 1.5kgPrior to this the biggest fish my daughter had caugh was a 35cm yellowfin We ended up with 33 gar 4 mullet and the Flathead for the few hours fishing
  3. have had a couple of jarvis walker ones in the past and personally would not buy another. from the start the amount of air coming out was pathetic couldnt keep about 20 small trumpeters alive in an esky for twenty minutes .have just bought one from ebay (12v adapter plus 2 batteries) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260682960758amount of air pumped is great on 12v and batteries keep trumpeters alive and happy all day on jetty (about 5 hours) without any noticable drop in air supplyas to the issue of only being able to use d and not rechargeable batterieshttp://www.theb

  5. had an idiot several months ago at wallaroo went under the jetty in a smallish tinny (about 12-14 ft with 4 people in it) had to move my crab net lines to get throughand on a side note to "t1ppo" slingshots are prohibited weapons if they have a brace or wrist mount http://www.sapolice.sa.gov.au/sapol/services/firearms_weapons/weapons_body_armour/faqs_weapons.jsp mentioned towards botton of page
  6. I was under the impression that it was illegal to use chicken or "meat" for bait of any kind and i found this on the PIRSA websitehttp://www.pir.sa.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0007/68884/faq_berleying_april_2008_final.pdfin regards to berley or bait.
  7. hi haven't seen many legal ones around Ardrossan lately, lots of little ones under the jetty (wife went snorkeling )lots of people go out and only get a few legal .you may have more success if you are in a boat but don't expect to bag out on jetty
