Plenty more boaties up that way thinking much the same SL, especially aftert several cars were tamperd with/ damaged or stolen in recent times, and the kids playgorund had 3 or so attempts at setting it alight too !Im told that the theif of the car is known to a certain few, and is really going to regret it when his time comes ..BTW if i see anyone looking suspicious i will ask what they doing be it there or anywhere else..

Great start there Carstens

Haha' date=' I bought a cheap one. Pumps the kids tyres up and is handy for footy's but didn't do a bloody thing for the truck tyres... :(How much is a decent one?[/quote']Been down there a few times in the Jeep with combination treaded Off Road/ On Road Tyres Jack with no dramas, but if this is/was your first time down there I can understand your caution.Seems a decent 4wd compressor can cost as much as you want to pay ! Maybe search some of the 4wd froums and see whats popular there ?

I went out this morning with a mate off nth haven to have a muck about with the snapper on S/P.There was a bit of swell running surprisingly which almost curtailed our plans but we decided to potter out to a ground not too far off and see what happens. We both caught a few ruggers early until some bigger models turned up and i managed a couple of bigger fish on plastic until it got swallowed so i swapped to bait and blew a real big fish.....as often happens that was the end of the action as the lost fish took the biggies away. cheers brentonGreat Effort there Brenton :woohoo: Theres def some nice fish doing the rounds atm not including the PJs.Theres been Plenty in the nthn half of the gulf til the Pros hammered them' date=' but still heaps down further too; been doing OK recently mid-coast Both on 4 Kilo line on Calcutta50 BC :woohoo:

Seems odd to coat Mono in plastic, yet alone "1000" LbIf' date=' [i']repeat if[/i], this from page 5 of the thread is correct
"Plastic coated 1000lb Mono and 5/0 jig hooks i believe"

More crackers Nev  Adelaide apparently had around 150 thousand lightning strikes on Sunday night  !

Lots of oil too. Plenty of Tuna oil mixed through. As far as I know it's illegal to use straight blood and chunks of flesh (chum)' date=' but fish pieces as UHF said should bring them around.[/quote']Even had Hammers coming up in a pellet/oil trail meant for gar, so it apparently doesnt take as much as you might think

Well my apologies for not getting to this sooner but we do have a winner for the first Carp comp and it goes to D1_taxi with a 44cm Carp taking out first ' date=' second and third place considering it was the ONLY fish submitted ? Well don D1 . Will get out a couple of lures (sx40's) for your troubles and taking the clean sweep . Should i do another comp ?Is it worth while ?[/quote']Got to admit JJ. had so much other stuff happening this comp slipped right by me :S Sorry
