No worries. They don't tend to snoop around the front where there are nice bright lights, but since my bedroom is on the channel side of the shop I hear them around the back all the time. Sometimes it's just innocent fisho's and that's fine but occasionally I catch people graffing or just being generally suspicious. A few extra cameras and some big bold notices will hopefully put an end to that.

I park my MSP ute out front when i go out night fishing a BIG THANK YOU for telling the snoopers to piss off....I'm sure boaties happy to pay extra 50 cents on fees at that ramp if it meant we could fish without the worries off coming back and finding our cars tampered with or worse..u could sleep easy...BTW if i see anyone looking suspicious i will ask what they doing be it there or anywhere else..

Mine would be this 9kg Snapper. Was fishing for mulloway in a little 3m gutter and this thing hit and went berserk. Thought it was a monster mulloway, id never caught a mully over 9 kg at that stage, and this beast seemed like it must be my holy grail Jewie! The fish had two really hard runs, but then every time I turned it, it would take off again :laugh:I started to think something was weird, cos it just didn't seem right for a mulloway :silly:When I first saw the red flanks I nearly fell out the boat with surprise! a long time after I saw color, the fish was finally calm enough for me to attempt to land (I was solo). When it hit the deck, I stood there just staring down at it with my legs shaking.... No way had I pulled a big red out of such a little hole!Amazing experience that was, and a ridiculously mental fight!! :woohoo:Even.if.I told you where I caught it, nobody would believe me but that's cool with me... My own little magical fishing moment

Same as most places Mac, right time and tide will catch a few.Only issue is that the boat traffic through their is very high so Monday to Thursday is best. Also as Boyo said, you will lose your anchor if you snag up any of the cable that is laying all over the place that has been there for 15 years +Better option is the reefs to the left of Sulli's and finding a nice ledge..

Looks like everyone had a good day today. We went out at Cape Jervis and scored 7 legal snapper.Lost 3 bigguns sadly but still a great day on the water out there. Was even better once the tide turned and the wind turned and dropped out leaving nothing but glass.Only bad thing about that place is the amount of tackle you lose. Looks like I'll be making more snapper leads and rigs tonight!

I went out this morning with a mate off nth haven to have a muck about with the snapper on S/P.There was a bit of swell running surprisingly which almost curtailed our plans but we decided to potter out to a ground not too far off and see what happens. We both caught a few ruggers early until some bigger models turned up and i managed a couple of bigger fish on plastic until it got swallowed so i swapped to bait and blew a real big fish.....as often happens that was the end of the action as the lost fish took the biggies away. cheers brenton

Last Night metro area dodge tide, chasing snapper, on our spot and within 10 mins had the first hookup, small, then it was on for the next hour or so, they weren't smashing the baits just like a normal bite but 10 snapper later and 45-50 cm was a good night. Heaps of squid chasing the snapper up managed to hook three. We nearly didn't go because of the tide , but just goes to show, better of trying than not

Well then, it's been a good week of fishing ever since I dropped my line weight and changed my hooks. I've been trying different things with Burley and today I reckon I finally hit the spot. Whiting nuts and creamed corn for burley, corn/bread with some aniseed for bait, no weight/ small split shot, or a running sinker, and the fish came one after another!I'm stoked something's finally working for me :)http://img688.imageshack.us/img688/5964/20130305232524.jpghttp://img689.imageshack.us/img689/3706/20130305193231.jpghttp://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/832/20130304212726.jpg/Catfish was released. Total of 10 carp, (2 were goldfish hybrids) and 1 catty. River Torrens. Cheers

Went out today for a midday snapper Sesh, thought I'd keep the Missus happy by doing this...........Ended up with five all around the 60 cm mark, didn't see any of the larger models we've been getting regularly during the evening which was a bit disappointing .Willy weather predicted north north Easters all day and it was blowing almost a southerly all day!?No pics cause I'm too lazy to take pics of little snapper.Went north and deep. And some dude was playing funny buggers trying to ping me while I was on the drift........tool.Not anyone on this site I hope.

Paul is fly fishing for Trout at Syon House. Originally constructed by Capability Brown in the 1760s, the six acre lake is regularly stocked with rainbow trout from Albury (and brown trout in season) of an average weight of 2lb 8oz up to in excess of 10lb. Paul uses a floating line and presents an olive gold head to tempt the rainbows. During this 2 hour session Paul gets remarkably close to a Heron and spots green Himalayan parakeets flying over the lake. Besides the amazing bird life he manages to catch 4 beautiful rainbows. He shows you how to "roll cast" when trees do not permit the normal overhead cast. He also demonstrates the back ward cast in windy conditions.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OxZQ6Fup70
