Awesome work mate. Fish of a lifetime! -

At least you your team got up.

Well done bocky. You've had this comp in the bag for a few weeks now with some great tipping.

What's the worst or funniest fishing session you've had?
piratepom replied to bjorn2fish's topic in General Fishing
This topic is a good read for all the wrong reasons, but it's funny. First few times ever out in the Tinny I did all the classic mistakes of leaving the bung plug out, flooding the engine and chucking several 360s with the tiller steer in the first bit of swell I hit leaving North Haven marina. Have certainly had my share of falls on the OH rocks. A long time ago on a walk back from the end I tripped and launched myself airborne down the rocks smashed my elbow and side. Fortunately the fall was partly broken by landing on a heavy duty rod, RIP my friend. Not so long ago I tripped bac -
I thought all Salmon had gone, but nope... not all of 'em

Great report and photos Doobie. Hard work paid off with some nice fish! -
Fantastic report and photos. Looks like a great place to fish. Well done.

Good luck mate. Sounds like a nice little challenge you've set yourself. Watching with interest. Read or watched somewhere that some HB lures are designed so they swim better with the split ring and by removing it you change/stuff up their action. Just something to think about.

How's your winter fishing been going so far?
piratepom replied to bjorn2fish's topic in General Fishing
Been out a few times off the rocks and chasing Bream and Squidlies. Not so many Trouties as usual for this time of the year. Couple of photos. Half the reason I go fishing. Best Bream for a while. A couple of Squidlies. Cheers. -
Great footage and fish. Think they need a bigger net!
-
Nice work Alex.

Great conditions this week, what are you chasing?
piratepom replied to bjorn2fish's topic in General Fishing
Targeting Bream, Bream and ummm more Bream. Got into a slob this morning. -
Epic! Would've been a sight for sure. Big fan of Flathead on the plate too.
-
Nice Flathead Del. Would've been a bit different than the Garfish fight!
-
Great work Alex. Nice fish, fishing and photo.

Haven't been out in the Tinny for way to long, so here's a new profile pic' to remind me what I'm missing.

The Weird Things that Happen out Fishing
piratepom replied to AquaticResearch1's topic in General Fishing
While early morning fishing/squidding off the rocks at Memory Cove with my son about 10 years ago we noticed a strange shape buzzing around in the water near our feet, pops its head up and its a Little penguin. Cool to see, but it gets more weird..... It susses us out for a few minutes then scrambles out onto the rocks and stands with us! In fact it stood right between us. "What is it doing Dad?" Well as I don't do penguin I guessed at it either being ill or it was mightily lost and confused and thought we were big penguins! My 10 year old daughter joined us on the rocks and was so excited to -

I'm hanging for a freshwater trip that's being planned for the near future, so my first thought is you should drive through the hills and down to Mannum. Missus will be happy with the scenic drive and location, and you get to fish, fish and fish!

Nice work Fishingmad! Some quality fish right there.

Do leave a swivel on your line between sessions?
piratepom replied to glengood87's topic in Bait & Tackle
Definitely don't want to be running swivels through your guides, however small. What are you fishing for??? -
This set up will catch you Carp, unfortunately . Owner Mutu size 4 light circle hook with a small running sinker to the hook. Good luck.

Cheers hoopsy. Missus is the master chef, and she's pretty protective over her recipes
