  1. Surely netting has to be banned from the corong & the mulloway size raised to 75cm before we start culling seals to raise fish stocks, I know the seals are a lot of other areas but I think the corong is the area the media have been focussing on. Even being a fisherman I'd rather the seals be eating the fish then the fish being caught by super trawlers, prawn trawlers or nets being in nurserys like the corong.
  2. Looking for some rod stands/holders to store the fishing rods at home in. Must be able to hold 8-10 combos
  3. Was flyfishing lower eyre peninsula the other week, put the burley out, got the usual bait fish around. Couldnt resist but catch a few. Was tommies and gar out a bit further. Kept a few for livebait. All of a sudden i see a fin breach the surface in the distance. Thought nothing of it just figured it was a few dolphins. NEK MINIT theres a sunfish under the jetty.
  4. cant go wrong with the catalina, ive got the saragoosa at the moment but it lays braid like shit and have heard a few bad reviews and il be upgrading to the catalina sortly, ray and annes got them for a killa price aswelland IMO the t curves are the go, i like the overhead texs not a fan of there spin rods though. should be a sweet combo anyway
  5. I've taken the liberty of highlighting a few points which I think are important relating to Normanville issue.....as the patrolled beach there happens to be right alongside the jetty.notice how it says do not swim instead of do not go shark fishing.
  6. go the thunnus, they :c all over any of the reels mentioned so far IMO
  7. what a load of :c this whole ban shark fishing is.in the paper today even the mayor or whatever he is said we werent doing anything wrong, he just thinks his little nippers are going to be in a burley trail.
  8. emufingers, your lucky i dont wanna be banned of this site cause otherwise id lose my shit at you.you should be worried about some sick freak taking your grandchildren from the beach, not a shark attacking them,as i said so many time our baits are normally over 300m out, we normally dont burley (with fish) if we do its very minnium around sunset.your life guards are the ones that are always rude to use, paddle across our lines when they know that they are there, yet we have never touched or had a go at one of them, which is very tempting to do when my line and trace is worth over 140 bucks.you
  9. mate, whats the difference between me putting a bit of tuna oil when ive droped my bait out 500m , to someone using it off the jetty for gar? and the jettys more comfortable and i don't get sand in the 2 grand worth of gear i take down there. i understand that your kids like swimming but the jetty is for fishing and we are doing everything legal.but there's 1000s of boats using heavy burly ks off shore while were useing a bit of tunna oil and the sharks are going to come straight to us? im pretty sure whites aren't interested in traveling kilometers to get a bit on tuna oil, they want the sn
