If youre in pirie id try the wharf behind the seafood shop caputo's, this time of year u should do fine and if the weather is a bit average u have ur car paked only metres away, when on kingie trips I have stopped there quite a few times and don't think ive missed even if only a few there generally nice sized specimens! With a small rod u are also guaranteed to get some trumpeters or tommies for some fresh bait as there prolific in that area .Goodluck love the crab

Been fishing over 25 years lived on the west coast for a while and caught/seen many a sambo but always tightly packed schools sometimes at conventions multiple schools bigger than footy ovals always changing shape and generally unless burleying constantly on the move. That is a great photo would love to know where that was taken???

Bear necess i use a small net from bcf to scoop em out my live well head first then place the closest hook on your trace through the end of the pocket and the second hook between its eyes in the back of the head stops em just pulling the head off when you got your hook/ hooks in the tube
