  1. hey SC i swear by carp!! everytime i go out for some blueys i will only use carp they are amazing! i will usually chop it into steaks and put them into the round black pots you can buy from tackle and tucker at saintkilda! and if i have heaps of carp i will usually zip tie half of one into the bottomAndrew
  2. hey softy im running 80lb mono! it just feels right if you know what i mean, gets a little bit of flex in it.
  3. hey os iv found that carp works the best for in your nets!! if you are ever at saint kilda stop in at the boat ramp and pick up these black pots that clip into the bottom of your crab net awesome thing cost around 5 bucks!! the crab cant get the bait out of the pot so the bait lasts heaps long.. if you launch up there iv found that the out going tide produces some big blueys!! find a sandy patch that also has a little bit of weed around and you will do very well! just past the black pole to the left is an awesome spot to get them..Andrew
  4. awesome reel! just gotta sus a new rod out next lol
  5. well i went down to ray and annes today, new favourite shop i checked out both the 6000D and 8000D, the 8000D is the same size as the 4500B so i decided to buy it, im cheering!! i also had a look at the thunnus, what a brilliant reel!! the 16000F looked small in the pics i had seen but this is a huge reel alot bigger then i expected.. but they had the brand new 4000 thunnus in there and thats bout the same size as the 6000D and alot more money to.. if you are interested in any of these reels id suggest going into ray and annes, very happy with the service, and the price is the best i could fi
  6. yeah OS i think im just going to go have a look at them both compare and see which one feels best. i was reading that the 8000 or the 6000 was the size of the 4500 hmmm..
  7. Hey guys,Im just wondering if anyone has had any experience with either reels. im very interested in the thunnus because of it solid build and line capacity. but then theres the baitrunner just something about it thats very appealing haha.Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks Andrew

  11. carps i can help you with the smell for your hands.. wash them with normal soap for a bit then get stainless steel soap.. i made up my own and i keep it in the boat at all times.. it gets rid of the smell!! if you dont have any stainless soap, use your sink in the kitchen.. works just aswell..Andrew
