  7. ...and now, the lures: http://www.fishingworld.com.au/news/afta-2016-fishing-world-s-top-10-lures I have noticed that the Fish Inc Lures Prop has so far been mentioned in four separate papers/magazines that I have read in the last week - it is either a totally excellent lure or the mother of all marketing campaigns. Cheers af

  13. Hi keenfisho Haven't used a charter up that way for a while now (my favourite has now shifted from Darwin), but here's a link that may be of assistance: http://www.darwinfishingcharters.net.au Also, depending on what time in August you are up that way, you may be able to catch some of this: https://www.airforce.gov.au/pitch-black-2016/?RAAF-3xDAz1/hk42suVVSpr1Cu8g/PIWlvnIr I was up in Darwin during Pitch Black 2014 and 2016 and it was a blast to see some reasonably exotic aircraft at full noise. Cheers af
  14. Hi Brutus Have you contacted this mob before? http://www.allergy.org.au/patients/food-allergy/allergic-and-toxic-reactions-to-seafood Cheers af
  15. Hi Brutus I admit that this is the first time I have heard of this sort of reaction, but a quick Google appears to confirm it is a relatively common occurrence. Hopefully someone on this site may be able to help you with a solution - I'll ask around and let you know if I hear of anything. Good luck in your quest for relief from this problem. Cheers af
  16. A couple of tips here, doobie: http://www.taste.com.au/how+to/articles/446/how+to+deep+fry Cheers af

  19. Pop in and say "G'day" to this mob when you're up there, Alexsfishin1: http://www.topothegulfmarine.com.au They will let you know what is happening around the place. Cheers af
  20. A small selection of what's out there in a Redfin pattern (all bar one purchased in SA): Cheers af
  21. Hi jiron Apparently there is an accepted common wisdom that as Redfin are cannibalistic, any lure in a Redfin pattern will quite often do the trick. The hard body in the first photo in the post from Meppstas (above) would tend to support that theory. Most of the better lure manufacturers offer hard bodies in a Redfin pattern. I have also heard that Trout patterns work well, too. Cheers af
  22. Well that worked well, then... http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-06-10/cloud-seeding-carried-out-over-tasmanian-catchment-before-floods/7499226 Cheers af
  23. An interesting occurrence as a result of the Tassie floods: http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2016/jun/08/flood-hit-spiders-stake-claim-to-higher-ground-in-mass-ballooning-australia Cheers af
  24. Meppstas I think your pic's say it all - the "before" and "after" shots in particular really put things into perspective. Cheers af
  25. French-made Rublex Flopy Lures - made from moulded rubber and with an adjustable bib. Cheers af
