  1. While this doesn't impact South Australia yet I think its a good way for the Outdoor Recreation Party to get some well needed attention and votes.http://www.orp.org.au/Roothy from 4x4 Action magazine and a well known figure among 4wd'ers will be running for the senate in Queensland to stop our lives being restricted in our own country. I wanted to put this here since after looking through some of their policies I think its worth fishermen and anyone who uses the outdoors being aware of their policies.

Would really appreciate a report of the roof top tent if you go please. Have wondered what they are like, especially in windy conditions!
  3. If you came one here saying your a 5 star chef and feeze them this way then I would have been disgusted lol..A true chef always cooks food fresh...except when the rellies drop in lol
  4. Hehe this is the problem with Car threads. Everyone always knows the defects of every car. Search the Internet on cars and all you get is PROBLEMS. Who goes on a forum to say OMG my cars so amazing. If your happy with the car and the servicing has been done thats whats important. If he services the car himself, ask him exactly what he does and get him to show you where everything is. Its pretty easy to spot someone who doesnt actually know what they were supposed to change and when.People saying 20,000k's a year then yeh 200,000 is a good deal and as Ive said the old Paj's are highly under rate
  5. Lots of Kilometres for a petrol engine mate. Im biased against Diesels when it comes to 4wd's though. Nothing wrong with the Paj at all and if it was diesel I would say to buy it but yeh..for a petty engine thats pretty high milage!
  6. Haha its funny cause I shudder everytime I have had to deal with Holden, yet my mechanic has never had any issue working on the car. No offence taken, I know the quality or lack of it, mechanics that Holden hire. The only problems I have had with the Jackaroo have been with recalls..It has gone back twice to have mistakes made by mechanics fixed, mistakes I eventually got fed up with and paid to have fixed by my own mechanic. Jacks have had their issues but if you ask any owner if you avoid Holden dealerships you will have a good car. I did love having to correct them as to what oil to put in
  7. 2000 Jackaroo is a peice of shit mate..Wouldnt touch them..MY currently for sale 1998 Jackaroo however is a beast In all seriousness the Jackaroo and the Pajero are rediculously under rated vehicles and you get ALOT more bang for your $$$$Im selling mine for $11,000 ono and the difference ull find with mine (and other not as nicely looked after or well setup jackaroos) and a Patrol or Cruiser is that they wont have a rediculous amount of kilometres. For example my STILL FOR SALE jackaroo hasLess than 155000K's
  8. Went down today and had to work pretty darn hard to get 150! Everyone seemed to be doing it a bit tough around me as well but for my first attempt Im pretty happy.New Amarok also got its first run on sand, ironic I drove past a Hilux just as he looked to be getting bogged
  9. Voda's coverage is better than 3..but I think holding an Antenna on your roof would give you better coverage around adelaide than 3 does. Vodaphone is still lacking in the southern coastal and metro area'sYou can check most telco's websites for maps of where they guarentee coverage. That way if you go with that carrier and you do not get it in the area's you were expecting you have an out clause with your contract..the communications ombudsman are pretty on top of thatPersonnally as soon as my contracts up Ill be move to and staying with Telstra, you get what you pay for.
  10. I'd love to hear the person on the other end of the line..."So I was fishing for snapper and the bloody spanner snapped!!! I want a replacement"
  11. Hey mate,The Dive Shak down at Pt Noarlunga had a good deal going for the shark dive and were looking to get some groups together to either go together, or individually. I know the price was reduced a bit so might be worth giving them a call.
  12. Why not have the best of both worlds...Like Port Noarlunga leave the last 50-100m's a Fishing Free zone and keep the current restrictions on boat fishing around the jetty in place.I would also make it a pay to fish jetty so that it can be Fixed up properly so its able to be Dived and Fished responsibly.I can guarentee Divers would be willing to pay a $5 or $10 fee to fix the Jetty, specially if there was a tank refill (at a charge obviously) area.If your worried about the area being fished to quickly you could also put heavier restrictions on the Jetty...smaller bag limits, larger fish sizes e
  13. I think you can buy small sharks for fish tanks, taking one from the wild I would think would kill it, but a tank raised shark would survive.
  14. All based on the facilities really, I wouldnt pay a cent to fish any of the jetties we have now thats for bloody sure. Extend most Metro Jetties out 100m and set them up like this and I would deff be more willing.Savagelip this could work to help watch what people are catching, if you have a gated exit then catches could be randomly checked to make sure you are only catching fish according to legal limits.
  15. Im talking about the 2 old blokes who were pissed because of the winds that were stopping them from catching some that night and only 5 the two nights before
