Thanks for the input Ale and 4THA' date='I have seen those Gomuku rods for micro-jigging, not my scene but they look pretty rad. Did have a quick squizz at those Daiwa Gen blacks Ale, not bad rods for the price. Itchy Twitchy looks within my required specs, 1.5-3kg. 4THA, why one piece rods? Is there much of a difference between one and two piece rods in terms of performance?[/quote']90% of my rods are one piece mate all though my t-curves are classed as 2 piece as it joins into the butt just a personal feel thing for finessing lures mate, I had a berkley im6 2 piece and purchased a strudwick sik stik pro 1 pce not sure if it was a mental thing but it felt so much better to cast and flick the tip with I also feel the rods action when hooked up is better having the arc through the whole 1 length piece and not broken into sections of different arcs hope that helps cheers 4THA

On the band wagon' date=' but the Diawa generation Blacks look mint. Not the type of rod for brutes like me , but they look , feel and priced great!!Those white rods with the funny names look ok to, come in pink, green and blue grips ( weight dependant)?[/quote']you mean the Gomoku rods Ale ? Moggy and myself sat through a speech from Lubin Pfeiffer (Rapala) @ BCF a month back and he was using one to catch his snapper on lures these rods look and feel awesome but are for jigging big fish not that you couldn't use it for bream but the action aint suited for flicking sps hb's around I like tha Samaki rods K-man and prefer one piece'ers personally cheers 4THA

great spot the old Rogues point my Auntie and Uncle live there, love the place my p.b is from the same beach @ 48cm and you do get legal kg's there as well, same day I got my p.b I had a bronzie take a Y/Fin off my line right at my feet, first time I walked on water I reckon, i shat myself Kevin from compleat Angler @ Moonta said there has been quite a few being caught off the beach this season top effort well done cheers 4THAI was down at the shack around rogues point on the Yorke Peninsula over the weekend chasing fish on the sand flats on the turn of the tide. We spotted a big fish scoot by as we were crabbing in a foot of water through the weeds and everyone thought it was a KGW (which would be highly unlikely in that particular area/depth). Half an hour later after pumping some clickers I threw out a line and was just reeling it in to check the bait when bang - this same horse of a fish absolutely smashed the clicker bait. It was great fun on the 2-4kg graphite with 1000 sienna reel and 4lb braid and it put up a good fight and was a great way to start the weekend. We only realised it was a yellow-fin once I had it safely on the sand and it measured 42cm and was seriously fat - even the old timers down that way couldn't believe it. The only downside is that the fillets definitely were not as sweet and tender as a 30cm specimen. I don't think I will beat that size for a long time.

good move makes for safer boating coming in at night not having to worry about avoiding buoys we run 1 over on the way back from a trip out In tha middle didn't like the prop too much   hopefully the fisheries are still patrolling the beaches after the last few big hauls of Illegal taking of them cheers 4THA

Normally if one doesn't work the other will[/quote']i'll take you up on that, i'd love to slam some fish on surface lures every time I see pics/footage it looks like so much fun I think the attack and the splashy commotion is what getz me all razzed up cheers 4THA
