Just got told, by her indoors, that my crazy "I'll eat anything" Beagle just scoffed a tube of S-factor!!! She managed to get it out of my track pants pocket along with the measuring tape I use. Missus said the laundry stank, like 'made her gag' stank!  Glad she didn't eat the tape too, that would've been fun retrieving that in a couple of days! :lol:  So not just a fish attractant it seems!
 
By the way the dog is fine, she has a cast iron stomach and this is certainly not the worst thing she has eaten!

I brought a red Gomuku rod a couple of months ago matched with a 2500 Stradic, it was going to be just for jigging for snapper but has become my all round boat rod for snapper,whiting etc bait or lures. They are very light and i have spent 8hrs on the boat jigging the whole time and no sore arm!

Haha cheers 4THA, they were caught on bait, I am working on the video right now! It probably won't be up until next week though. The last session we had I got a 37cm bream and James got a 39cm bream. Only 1cm off!!!! :woohoo:

James and I went to west lakes on the quest for the 40cm bream. Straight away when we got there, we got some takes and James managed a nice 36cm bream already! Always good to have a catch and release session. Anyways, we persisted into some smaller bream and landed another decent one which was 34cm. Fished on for another 5 hrs and landed numerous small ones with the occasional decent bream. We finished the day with two 36cm bream and five 35-33cm bream. Another good session with most fish being legal but of course, all fish released We didn't manage to land a 40cm+ bream but...

Depends how much prep work you do beforehand and what kind of quality job you want done, I have had a few 7' spinn rods done for around $120-150 but had the blank all sanded back and resprayed with 2 pac before taking it in to tackle shop cheers

Newtontoney, I have a 196/8 Sabre Bought it 2nd about 15 years agoAwesome rodEven though I'd rather now use spin sticks I do get it out at least once a year for some funI use an Abu 5500 Pro Rocket on it with 4kg monoAnd it does cast like a Rocket!!!

What size reel would be on it?Itchy twitchy matched up well to a 2500 daiwa. Great rod with plenty of kahunas for pulling out XOS bream of knarly homes. Whould make a good whiting / rugger stick but probably a little heavy for gar m tommies IMO. Nitro would also be a goodn but probably suited to a smaller reel
