Ay mate I suggest ya just go and buy a good set of rocket launchers from a boat supplier ( 316 stainless steel ) which makes the rear of your canopy , from there a good upholster should be able to finish the rest . There is one over here at Napperby the only problem is he is a bit slow .

I would definitely go a Tournament Shirt, think I said it before , definitely would like to see that old Fish symbol with the hook and I would proudly wear all the site sponsors on it as well. Lets promote them as much as possible as well as this site. The post from Callophunter looks pretty good ( www.bigfishgraphics.com.au/tournament.html )As for the price we can only get a quote as the more orders taken the cheaper when dealing with printing shirts . The site is a free site to use and the amount of info that you can get from Strike Hook is massive , if people don't know the answer on the site its probably not worth knowing so why not back the site and pay a bit of money to promote all the good work done by the founders of the site . Bring back the Old Strike Hook symbol !!!!!!!!!Just my opinion . Cheers

ay mate i have been the boating seen for about 7 years launching and retreving by myself at a few different locations and never really given it a thought. I guess it comes down to the boat ramp and location. Generaly go with your gut feeling if it dont feel right due to some shady characters hanging around wait till they have gone . I would hope that one wouldnt have any trouble but you never know these days .

yep its always people saying yeah to shirts and stuff and when it comes to payment they are no shows . I have been burnt this way before with sporting clubs and your left with all these shirts . Maybe someone could get info on suppliers, cost minium order etc then put a post up . If we can fill the minium order then get the money of the people wanting them befofe the order is placed . Maybe a site competion for a design? . Its a great idea but always a hard one to go though with .

yep id be in for it as well . the miss keeps complaining that i should wear a shirt fishing and she always wants to buy me one of those tournament shirts but i wont let her for all the advertising thats one them , But if it was a tournment shirt for strike hook and all that has sponsored the site id be happy be buy one or 2 . Id like to see the old fish logo with the hook on it as well , but either way id buy one, same goes for the caps and maybe bucket style hats as well keep the sun of the ears . As for the stickers id like to see the stlye that most car stickers have . Not sure what they are called but the ones where you pull the back sheet off then stick it on and then pull the top cover sheet off and your left with just the sticker if you know what i mean . Something that i can put on the boat so other menbers can easily recognise ya out on the water as im sure there have been times where we have been fishing the same spots without knowing it .

yes i do agree with trihull stick to the middle of them like glue . Id be trying the power house wall for the kingies mate i have only eva hook 2 smaller ones but great fun . Either sit on the whyalla end about 50 to 100m out on a 45degree angle or if the wind is good and the tides are running in the right direction try a drift you could try around the hot water outlets . Worth a try i guess i have not heard any reports thoe . gotta try i guess

ay mateI have looked high and low in the boat, on the lap top and both gps but I cant seem to find the marks. I only had a few but ill try and describe them to you the best I can so bare with me lol.First the bay of Venus bay isnt really that big. It consist of two boat ramps one concrete bottom and the other just of the sheltered beach. I like to section the bay into Four main parts 1# The rock faces, 2# sand bar / reef, 3#Channel around to Port Kenny 4# The Jetty1# The rock faces:This area is the area to the left of the jetty at the concrete boat ramp. The Rock faces basicly run along the edge of the bay running out through the heads ( where the rollers come in ). The bottom is mixed up of broken ground, mainly rocks, sand patches and a few weed lines. I have caught KG whitting, squid ,tommies salmon and the odd flathead throught this area. What to watch out for is dont get to close to the rock faces as it does get shallow quick and the closer you get to the heads be ware of the odd small roller coming into the bay but you will see what I mean when you get there. Like anything be awhere of your surroundings and you will be fine. 2#Sand bar / ReefThis area is best explained on a slight rightish angle about 45 degrees from the end of the jetty. It is out of water on low tide. It is only like 10 mintues from the Concrete boat ramp. This area is almost in the straight line to the heads and there is more of a chance of the smaller rollers coming into this section. Smaller rollers being around 1 to 2 foot nothing more but that is only when the tide, wind and currents are all playing together. I woudnt be to concerned with this just thought id mention it . This area is really good of KG and squid, you will often see a pro boat or two sitting in this area ( usually a open tinny of around 5m with big green or blue eskys on them ) good sign to see the fish are on . 3#The channel around to Port Kenny This is what it states , its the channel and is only marked with sigle posts, its not a big channel so dont adventure to far off the post and there aint a lot of them so take it slow around there. You will cross a large sand bar and basicly it nice white bottoms all the way around so pick a spot , berley up and try . 4# The JettyWell you cant miss this its the Jetty , maybe 2 Prawn Boats around the bend and maybe a smaller cray boat at the TEE. It's quite deep and you could catch just about anything. Beware there may be the reisident seal that will stir up the fish and scare them away. Try using a white piece of fish flesh at night under a light at night around the bend for big snook. Other things to know . People like to launch from the beach i wouldnt reckomend this unless you have a 4x4 and CONFIDENT in using it on the sand pulling a boat. There are areas that become water logged very easy and I have seen a few cars go under trying to get out. Dont park on the beach if you launch from there as the water comes in quite far and covers the entire beach at times . To be safe rather then sorry just use the ramp. Another suggestion for fish is try the Surf Beaches out the back of the township Mount Cammel for medium to big Salmon. When I am over there I hit the bay in the morning and the beaches at dusk. Hope this helps and keep me posted on your catches Wadey

ay mate sounds like fun , from my experiences that will keep you flat out, whitting in the morning tide and hit the beaches for the afternoon tide. Thats what i normaly do, at Mt Camel me mate always hits the best whole on the beach while I try and fish the rocks to the left on the main beach. There is a big gutter that runs back along the beach and out. 9 times out of 10 i will catch a few big ones in there before he has any. Just be mine full of the swell sit in the car park for 10 to 15mins watching the swell breaking on the rocks first. The rocks are mainly flat and they are about 3 foot higher than the beach it self so dont fall off :woohoo: Just wear a good grippy shoe and you should be fine but if in doubt just fish the beach. Let me know how you go .
