  1. A top fish Southslide, well done fella Can't wait to read the write up,and the boy's on TSF will love it too The problem with the world today is that our society is run by all these "tree hugging, warm and fuzzy,no nukes, make love not warI know my rights, politically correct knobs" that they have lost touch with reality to some degree.Get a life to those that rant and rave on about it........Some people (most) make me
  2. Cheers spartan.Yep,always loosen the drags off after use Will give them a call. Thanks again.
  3. Hi all,I have an "old school" Penn Seanator 6/0,which I got cheap at a garage sale a fewyears ago (similar sort of story to rocknev's Snyderglass) Anyway,I tidied it all up,and had the drag rebuilt with new Penn washers......HT 100 I think they were called?????Ran like a dream.......I "found it again" on the week-end,and "re-tidied" it for the coming season, but the drag is shocking :pinch: Is there a paste / compound / solution that you can buy that can "smooth" it out?Not a great reader of the mags, but can vaguely recall hearing of something. Not even going to have a guess at what it might be
  4. That really sucks bigtime, and I have no remorse to these buttholes if they were ever "dealt with" by the "victim".....probably give them a hand to deal with them.I have been wary of areas like that for many years now,and unfortunately, have had to head further afield to fish ,when there's all that great water "local".Hope insurance comes through quick for you
  5. Nothing too serious for me food wise on the road trips........chips / shapes / twisties area dietary staple, along with the copious amounts of homebrew, and the 2 litre coke for the "morning after" before the long drive home........Canned "Stagg Chilli" is evil gear  ......share it "with all in a 6 man tent",but avoid itwhen in your swag..........unless it's the middle of winter at Salt Creek
  6. were they "hoon driving" at the time
  7. anywhere but in the Port in the dead of winter with 3 long-necks of Coopers stout
  8. Wise man,"let your fingers do the walking" and don't be afraid to "name name's" and quote their prices. After all, these day's it's a "dog eat dog" world more than ever.Good luck with your intended purchase
  9. That look's pretty much like a snapper to me!I've heard of pies at the footy called "Rat Coffins" before.Yes Ranger,I'd love to have that buried in a young Thai girl too!
  10. I don't think that you would be the Lone Ranger there mate (pun intended),but they do get angry at times, but I don't know why?????Forgotten anniversary / birthday, late, fishing again, pi$$ed again, watching footy / cricket / Com Games on TV.....what's their problem;)
  11. I bought 2 Wilson 8144's about 4 years ago,and they were $170 each then.Great rods that have served me well.
  12. Personally,I steer clear of them all
  13. A Bronzie better than 7' off the sand, and / or better than 9' off the planks from Yorkes somewhere
  14. Only rich people buy things twice.Buy the good stuff first, even if you have to save that little bit longer.Horne's every time
  15. If you are going to mainly target salmon,I'd go for the 4120;a bit more "tip"allows you to cast the lighter baits/lures.But,if you are looking at an "all rounder" I'd look at the 5120,a bit more user friendly on the heavy-weights.
