  1. Does anyone know of any quality scale bags and were to get them from. We lost another 50 KGW the other day when the bag broke again. Luckily we had another 200 fish on-board for the clients. I can only find cheap ones that just don't last long. We don't mind paying good money for a decent quality item. Any Help would be appreciated.Cheers Pete
  2. We call them Rock Cod ... The Blue Throated Wrasse is a fish that alot of good fisherman like to eat. They are good fun to catch and will put a bend in the stick.
  3. Nice spotting Ian - near perfect design. Going again this Friday 'weather should be calm as' ... hoping to get a 3kg+ specimen with a bit of luck.
  4. Hey Benny - Nice to see some fish caught from one of our 'Tuna Time' Fishing Charter Brokers Australia Adventures listed on the site. Here is another couple from the same trip mate ... for those not in the know - Benny is The Head Turkey. http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/lOhM9pEE__fcba___4D1____Ben_Head_Turkey___web.jpg[/img] http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/qoORThZ0__fcba___4D1___Thomo_tuna_kiss__Grant___web.jpg[/img]
  5. We went on a specific Callamari Charter the other day ... no wasting time on snaps, no whiting drops etc. The weather was near perfect with little breeze and the swell was right down. Kangaroo Island was looking awesome. It was pretty quiet for the first 2 hrs and things were looking bad, not a single touch. My son 'Ashley' was getting fidgetty. We however stuck to our guns and things started to fire up. By lunch we had about 40kgs in the bin with many over the 2kg mark. It's amazing - for those who haven't done it before as a 2kg plus squid can take 2 or 3 minutes to get in ... there is no skul
  6. Thank You to all the applications - all serious ones are wonderful ladies and I wish we could take you all on-board. The position has now been filled ... thank you to all. Pete www.fishaust.net
  7. thanks for the offer Coonta & Ranger, however as appealing as your offers are :-\ I'll pass and keep to the requirements previously listed.
  8. Hi, Some of you fishing folk may know some-one :icon_idea: We are a fishing charter/eco touring facilitator who is looking for a female model (18 - 32) for photographic work & possibly a little bit of acting on a promotion dvd that we will shoot whilst on-board an up coming adventure. We depart Broome and head into the Kimberleys on a 75ft live-aboard vessel from Sept 21 and return on Sept 28. Our normal guests pay 4 - 6K for this adventure and we will visit some of the best scenic & fish thick sites that WA's Kimberleys has to offer. The lucky person who gets the gig is treated to a
  9. Hi All,A very esteemed gentlemen suggested to me last week that the cockle rec quota's are or will be cut to 200p/p from 600p/p for next season.Has anyone else heard this rumour and can confirm or otherwise it?
  10. Hi Yak ... first time I've been to it in a long time - I'm not on the Adelaide Boat Show Board and I'm not really that passionate. I just hadn't been for ages and as the general comments from blokes who have gone in past years have filtered back to me that - ITS FAR TO EXPENSIVE! I went this year and thought it could have had more stalls - but for $15 bucks and my kids are in free was OK - what do you get for that now-a-days ... a cheap lure, 6 litres of fuel, a six pack and almost a movie ticket. I agree with most of the other fish'os though - I'm looking forward to when it returns to Wayvil
  11. Yes - there is plenty of executive vessels on show. I went for the first time in years. I thought for $15 with the kids in free that it was great value. There was gear, tackle, eskies, charters, speaker systems, sounders, plenty of boats-yachts-canoes and out boards houseboat holidays, pirsa, kids free stuff, kids castles, electronic gadgets, yorke peninsula info, mouring details, insurance info, wine tasting, sailfish virtual captures and a few other stalls of interest. With the above noted - there was limited tackle - I think its as everyone that goes wants a bargain so $70 - 120 combo's look
  12. Hi all,Who went to The Adelaide Boat Show? What did you think?1. Excellent Exhibits & Value2. Interesting & would definately go next year3. OK & would probably go next year 4. Ordinary If your picking 1 or 2 list your favourite sites ie ... The Adelaide Bait & Tackle Boys gave me a great combo deal or advice on Snapper fishing etc. If your picking 3 or 4 - perhaps list what you believe it was missing or how it could be improved.
