  1. Mesh keeper nets are awesome! For $12 bucks you can't go wrong, You might wanna replace the spring on the lid though.http://www.bcf.com.au/online-store/products/Surecatch-Wire-Keeper-Net.aspx?pid=215442&menuFrom=30501#Cross
  2. Fish factory have bins full of fish frames etc.. Just make sure you go early in the morning and or take some gloves. Not the best smelling bins
  3. That sucks dude! Has stu done the rounds of the local crime converters?Nikhum I was talking to one of your relatives about that at the bridge, Can't believe how quickly they did it! There was a kid around the age of 13-15 hanging around there for a bit then I suddenly haven't seen him for awhile after it happened.. Little suss.
  4. "bans include the use of Ganged hooks unless joined by mono line"Weak as piss pirsa
  5. Hey fellas trying to find out abit of info in this rod.. I picked it up for 15 bucks.. It is a custom super stick made by Steve Morris at SA Fishing Tackle. Ill throw a couple of pictures up but they will be from my phone. It is 2m long I think with an old school roller on it. Sorry about the crappy pics, I wouldn't have a clue where my camera went.I can see the eyes are rusting abit under the epoxy, How hard is it to replace eyes on rods? This rod is pretty strong, I can put it on my lap and push down as hard as I can till I go red and it is nowhere near breaking, I would rate it as 30kilo? I
  6. Emu these are in your own words "It appears that where there are fish the sharks follow. In this area, November December are the months when there is increased shark activity due to seal calving and the movement of snapper and whiting up the gulf." I thought it was our burleying that was bringing them in?And is it your kids you are worried about or yourself? "I have been trying to sell my yak as I have become worried about sharks in my local area. I am wondering where to draw the line." http://www.akff.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=50987
  7. If we are going to get abused for shark fishing with legal methods what's the point in trying to do it legally? They are trying make it out like we are violent criminals, It's a load of bull.
  8. Is that all? Nothing about recreational fishers burleying? What behavourial differences have been noted? If I come to normanville tommorow and put my line out 400m away from people swimming it will dramaticaly decrease the risk of a shark attack opposed to fishing from the jetty?
  9. Maybe the sharkers should have an "Occupy Normanville Jetty" protest  Emufingers you said you consulted a marine biologist about this issue.. What are his thoughts?I have kept my mouth shut the past few days and I will go crawl back into my hole after this as I don't want to offend anyone but this is ridiculous, Don't give in fellas.
  10. Theres a few on ebay for pretty cheaphttp://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m570.l1313&_nkw=pheasant+feather&_sacat=See-All-Categories
  11. Gamakatsu hooks are brilliant hook! Expensive but they won't break on you.. Like uhf said with whiting etc its not going to be a big deal, If you ever get a whiting that will snap a hook I'll buy you slab
  12. Might be able to use a puncture repair kit for a bike?
  13. Hmm... I'm thinking about using it as a mully/snapper reel, It came with 50lb braid on it but i think that will be coming off payday, Not too sure what i will put on it, Defiantly going to be braid though for more line capacity. I'm leaning towards a sensor surf rod, $150 new and feel pretty good
