Are you releasing the thumb screw on the end of the axis of the spool? This is a seperate component from the star drag.

If you have 16' of Jinkai do you have the running sinker on it with some sort of stopper?

I want to use a running sinker on braid for snapper but the sinker tangles on the braid. what will stop this happening?

I seem to be dropping quite a few salmon as they near the waters edge. I am using a laser lure with a small treble. What would be the best hook selection to reduce these loses? A bigger treble,a circle hook,a single hook or something else.

My new Okuma epix eb 60 has a dry & 'geary' feel when winding. Is this normal and if not what is the best cure?

Would the Shimano aquatip 902 be a good rod for catching salmon off the beach. I need good casting distance, will be using 50gm metal lures and 10kg braid. Which reel would suit. These rods are priced at around the $70 mark, much cheaper than say the seajigger.
