have a look on ebay i picked up a shimano biatcaster for 65$$ retails for 125$$ and you will find grafite rods as cheap as 7-10$$ in the 2-3kg range . i am currently using a similar set up for whiting and found them very good !!

Hi as you can see some like them others don`t rate them at all i have the bait caster model that i use for whiting ,they arn`t as whippy as i thought they would be but for the 20$ i paid not a bad rod at all ,i also brought a sambo bait caster rod that i found to be much better for the whiting a lot more flexible and have caught some nice flat head paid the same price as the palegic, the one bit of advice i will share is stay away from the cheap bait caster reels they are offering ,they are cheap and nasty i had that much trouble i just tossed it out the boat!!

well the bye rds are now over, Tonnerfun is till the only undefeated team in the comp ,beama has jumped from 4th to second,only 6 games till the finals hope ya got some trades left??.
