  1. Try not to let one bad experience stop you from ever purchasing a graphite rod again mate. I know it's easy for me to say but you know.
  2. Good luck. Since its Exmouth you probably won't need it anyway.
  3. http://www.fishnet.com.au/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1029814&sid=538267e041b1a7f30cd8b7c7cfc4322fFollow this link if it works. It is a conversation on a different forum in relation to the Wilson Texalium.
  4. Cheers Kelvin. Mostly YFW on bait.
  5. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
  6. Hi guys,I'm currently in the market for a new :woohoo: (relatively cheap $100-$150), light whiting combo. I only fish off the land for my whiting because I don't have a boat. Just wondering whether anyone has any suggestions about combos they've had a good experience with???

    Braid

I find it helpful to pour a bit of freshwater on the reel of braid after the first cast of the day. It enables the line to leave the spool with less friction which results in even longer casts.
  8. I regularly fish the Pat and have found the Squidgy Pro Range to have outperformed the Berkley Gulp baits by an absolute country mile.Nowadays I only ever take Squidgies when I fish there.
  9. They are usually a few gar swimming around the Trimmer Parade end of West Lakes.
  10. Chaos knife jigs are good. They come in a range of colours and in weight ranges of 180g, 250g, 360g and 450g.
  11. Flathead are also a slight chance.
  12. what gear do you use for your onk mulloway sessions?
  13. My technique is just to ensure that I always use mullet mix.
  14. My grandfather once hooked a shag on a gar rig off the Pt. Hughes jetty.
  15. If you're interested in using lures in the Onk I would suggest using the ever so versatile Squidgie Bloodworm Wrigglers or the green Squidgie Flick Baits.
  16. Be sure to let us know whether you have any success or not. I'll be interested to see how you go. Good luck.
  17. Okay. Thanks 'brenton'. :cheer:
  18. Hi guys, just wondering if anyone knows what time the salmon start to fire up on the Port Hughes jetty?
  19. Hi guys,I'm interested at trying the Torrens for a few Carp on fly. I've heard many successful stories about this type of fishing. I'm just wondering what flies, leaders, lines etc. are appropriate.
  20. Yeah I'm leaning towards an egi master after a bit of research.
  21. thanks for your interesting input guys.
  22. Thanks for the positive reply mate. Good to see that not everyone simply lobs out baits.
  23. Berkley Egi Master or Shimano Sephia?
  24. For something different the Pat is normally pretty consistent. STs can be easily picked up around the lock using 65mm wasabi or bloodworm coloured squidgy wrigglers. ST's are great scrappers on light gear too!
