  1. Great stuff 1fish.I dream of being able to do that sort of thing one day.
  2. Inspirational stuff! Love the detailed picture of that weed. lolNah seriously, the differences in those two examples are pretty substantial. Nice work.
  3. How big did that one go meggs?Looks pretty good.
  4. Yeah that's a must. When you feel the spool of line after spooling it, it shouldn't feel too soft or spongy.
  5. Fantastic stuff. That's 56cm more of mulloway that I have ever caught. Even the schoolies must be awesome fun.
  6. Great stuff 1fish.That looks like a fantastic fly fishing spot in serenic surroundings.
  7. Twitch Twitch 97's uncle has 1 and reckons its great. He uses it in his hunt for a cracker beach caught flathead so they probably would be able to handle a bream reasonably well.
  8. After much deliberation, I opted to go for the Shimano 6-8kg T Curve Rev Inshore. Thanks for all of your input and helpful suggestions.@chunky- I'm ugly enough thanks.
  9. Okay cool. I'll have to check them out.
  10. Are samaki in the price range I mentioned earlier southie? By the way the reel is a 4500 rovex aereus
  11. Will definitely check the nexave out mate. Thanks
  12. The rod will be used for baitfishing purposes by the way.
  13. G'day guys,There have probably been similar posts on this site before but with next season's rod ranges being released recently I am after a shimano, okuma or daiwa boat fishing spin rod suited for port river mulloway and pinkie-medium sized snapper.I have had a look on motackle and the t curve rev inshore looks alright in the 4-6kg or 6-8kg size?I have a reel loaded with braid so all I'm after is a nice rod to marry it with.Price range is probably anthing under $225 odd? Nothing too much more. Cheers.
  14. Those fish are an awesome effort on the fly gear. Nice catch there fishnuts.
  15. When targeting bream on bait I use a double uni knot instead of a swivel so that it is easier to cast unweighted baits. However, it's probably more crucial to use flurocarbon with fishing with lures. I use 3lb for bream normally.http://www.animatedknots.com/indexfishing.php?LogoImage=LogoGrog.jpg&Website=www.animatedknots.comThis link is to a site which has good instructions on how to join braid and mono or fluro but I'm sure if you googled 'fishing knots' you would find some helpful info there too. Cheers.
  16. Great work MM. Many great years ahead fishing with your son.
  17. Video didn't seem to work for me I think I know what you're talking about though. I knew that the guys releasing samsons in WA used a similar system. Good to know that here in SA we can take care of our bigger, trophy fish in a similar fashion.
  18. Nice trip report Del.The photos of those dark clouds were pretty cool too.
  19. Fantastic KG!1.8kg gutted is heavy as they come.
  20. Does anyone know many metro spots for them?I have pumped a few from the banks of the Onk but only a FEW. Whilst fishing on the Southport Beach footbridge, I once watched a guy pump all the way from the mouth to the bridge without getting any. (This put me off the onk a bit).As a keen YFW fisho, I use bungums but would also like to add nippers to my arsenal.Help would be appreciated.Cheers.
  21. You could see that your T Curve really seemed to put some hurt on that fish. Great combo by the way.And that's also quite a nice snapper too. Great video 4tha.
