Do you know what species of Bream?
-
I thought the Fins looked a little long, but I am no expert on fish species.

Bream?Image from the MMM Facebook page.

I went down there at 8am with the kids and have just left to go home, way too many people and I haven't seen anyone with a fish in their possession yet. Even heard a car accident, (screeching tyres followed by bang) not sure where it was though... Going to take the kids somewhere else... since they had their heart set on fishing

The Seven Sisters are an open star cluster in Taurus, very visible to the unaided eye. Usually on a clear night with no moon you can count about 6 stars, the seventh member was said to have been a supernova (an exploding star) which gave the name the Seven Sisters. Other names this cluster goes by are Messier 45, Pleiades, and Subaru (next time look at the badge on a Subaru car). Hope this helps a little.

Took this lastnight of Venus and the Seven Sisters close to one another. Using an Alt/Az tracking mount and a Telescope. You can see Venus in the Western Sky, just after sunset, it's the brightest thing there atm.

Youngest Son (5yo) caught a 45cm carp. Although I had to help him bring it in, because it was pulling him in. -

How do you find the Shimano? smooth? Might head into a tackle shop and have a play with one.

looks good, I have thought about making some up for sand/river bank use. given me some ideas, I was going to use round tubing to go into the ground but angle would be a hell of alot better...
-
PM sent, I'll give it a go with a higher res version.

I made my own out of an old coat hanger and some rubber bands and a piece of welding apron, works a treat

ale: Yes I should have mentioned it's a spin rod. Thanks rotor138: I will look into that reel, thanks.

Hi guys,Got myself a Ugly Stik rod thats rated to 3-5kg, whats a good replacement reel for the one that came with it? The one on it now is a Shakspeare Predator 3000. It's a good reel, but is there better?
