I remember a session at Pt hughes years ago where we were only in about 12ft and the water was boiking with fish. We were sending out unweighted half pillies and they were getting slammed !Great fun.Shame the pictures not working though ??

  11. If I can catch Callop on lure anyone can :silly: I was on Goolwa beach cockling last week and found a dead eagle ray and the head of a bronzie high up the beach. Amazed why they wouldn't put the eagleray back if they didn't want to keep it.
  12. So after all those fish, what would be your favourite to target in our waters ??
  13. I don't see Rainbow Trout in that list Fishnuts I reckon the flathead would be the easier to target out of the 3Nice list though, very impressed

  17. when it happens it happens the trick is to be ready at all times for the place to go off. Have seen it with many species at many places and can quickly catch people out. It's human nature to ruch things when the adrenalin is pumping. You think everything has to be done lightning fast when the best thing to do is take a deap breath and be pricise. Only takes another split second.Sounds like you had a ball anyway LF. Welcome to the sight and great fisrt post. Hopefully more to come. Dont' forget the pics next time though... everyone loves pics !!

  21. Good on you Rangfish. Spot on at every point. Can you imagine how expensive fruit and veg would be if we all became vegans ??And then someone would come along and say we can't grow our own because it's cruel for some random reason... always someone trying to cause problems for others...
  22. I'd be heading towards Cape Elizabeth and find a nice hole behind it. Burley up and wait. Plenty of whiting, squid, garfish and rugger snapper around.

  24. Narrow minded people VB !!Short term gain with no longe term thoughts. It's these same people that will be sitting there in 20, 30, 40 years complaining about how the stocks have been raped by the pros etc..etc.. etc...If we could all just follow the rules, I mean if they really wanted to fill the freezer, yeah sure a bit more in petrol money, but hey there some satisfaction there knowing you have gone about it the right way and still scored well. Just like bagging out... hhhmmm.....
  25. Geez mate, you look about 10 there !! Not even going to mention the guernsey....Nah, nice fish man.
