  1. Hey Archer I guess it is a big ask to have a rod that absolutely excels in all situations im just after one that can handle alot of work in alot of areahs and just keep powering on. The reason Im asking is Ive wanted to do some major traveling for a while and wanna keep the amount of gear to a minimal. I'll probly end up taking two or three rods if i do go. I think three must be the majic number because I could only cut my rifles and dogs down to that number to. thanks for the info fellas I'll look into those rods and see what I think.
  2. Hey fellasIf you could only have one combo to take around Aus and chase all species in all conditions using all methods what combo would it be.
  3. hey guysim currently looking at buying a baitcaster combo for flicking lures and a local store has the abu garcia pro max range. They are a decent looking rod and seem pritty smooth was just wondering what every ones thoughts are on them as im fairly new to lure fishing and have never owned a baitcaster.
  4. Catch my first mully, first snapper and hopefully first cod. Will mostly be targeting callop and redfin in the river hopefully catch one on lure

  9. Hey fellasbeen looking for a new rod for a while nowjust wondering if anyone owns a raider three piece traveler. I think this would suit all my needs and would be easy to cart around in the back of a car or in a backpack for walking creeks, rives ect.just woondering if there are any draw backs to this type of rod? Also not too sure which model to get in spin form snapper, snapper heavy or barra. Will mostly be targeting callop and reddies in the river at the moment and also snapper, whiting ect. but will hopefully be travelling later in the year to target big cod and hopefully barra around Sept-
  10. probably go spin as its what im used to going into the camping store tomorrow for a look so see how I go
  11. Hey fellas snapped my cheap lil rod the other weekend :c so now im in the market for somethin a lil bit better/tougher. Just wondering what you would recommend as a good allrounder something thats capable of flicking lures in rives/estuarys but can also tackle a legal size snapper from the boat. only got about $100 to spend on rod and reel at the moment but could save up to more if there's something you guys think is worth it
