My best from the lakes is only 38cm. But when I started my bream on lure fishing back in 99 I'd normally get 40cm+ fish from the port and like someone else said when squidgies first came out I was getting maybe five between 40-50cm a sesh. My biggest went 54cm trolling the smallest size stump jumper in pink and purple along the edge of the fishermans market wharf. Spewing couldn't afford a camera back then (was only 14) and no phone cameras either!

i kinda agree fight wise a 50 is overkill from a boat but land based you loose 100-200m just setting your bait, this i guess is the trade off for a more comfortable 30 sized reel. i don't know maybe il just stick with the good o'l 9/0.cheers anyway

just looking to splurge on a new setup to replace my senator 9/0.looking at a tld 50 or tyrnos 50 matched to a t-curve bluewater 24kg rod.does anyone have this combo or have an opinion on it. i trying to see really if the 50 sized reels are more matched to 24kg-37kg rods rather then just a straight 24kg rod...my 9/0 is matched to a fenwich sea hawk 24kg but the rod is quiet chunky for a 24kg setup.
