I've certainly seen the light. nearly all of my rods are now custom sabres, status rods and synders in various special hybrid formats. The new full graphite stuff is overrated imho... Give me a fast actioned composite rod anyday...

I;m still obsessed.... and I'd fish on average once-twice a week, but alot more around the good moon cycles.... summer or winter doesn't matter. I've fished heaps this winter.

make sure your 13 footer has appropriate safely gear and the fairway beacon is beyond what is classified as semi-protected waters...I'd imagine that marine safety would be out in numbers... or do they just pick on Bream tournaments... ha ha Good luck Damien, when you do get out... should be some fish around the edges...
