Ive got the abru garcer gold edition rod not sure on reel but it seem ok, thankyoy for the tips on bait, i do need to get my line better with better nots, as to the sinker i find the line always drifts and loosens the line is it inportant to have a tight line?, im gonna google the nots today and perfect my rig... again thankyou

Fellas how is all, i am a lover of fishing but really struggle to catch anything, partly because i always take the wrong gear like rod to big or hooks to big, it seems to me the simplest setup seems to catch fish, last night i took my boys fishing down the foot bridge at pt noarlunga, we had floats and bottom lines going on, and i was using size 5 hooks, we got nothing in 3 hours but the man next to us with size hooks and a smaller rod caught whitting, i wonder if my 8ft rod is to big for that sort of fishing and i wonder if my bait style needs some work, im unsure how many gents to put on a

Two other mates went 1. to footbridge port noarlunga 2. sellicks beach, both caught good fish ( tommies, whitting, flathead, bream, makes me wonder why we went to rapid bay...

Makes sence i wonder about imported bait like cockles aswell, ive been watching you tube and beach worm catching and im gonna take yesterdays fish heads down and catch some worms... hopefully

cant see myself catching snapper of sellick and me line would probally break lol, but would be nice to try out the arbu garcier gold rod on a salmon or flathead, ive got heaps of berli so ill just berli the water and put some poppers on and see what happens

awesome, after our rapid bay adventure i left $40 bucks worth of bait at my mates house and want to go fishing tomorrow, and all ive got here is BASA... well im gonna give a go and try my luck, hey cant do any worse then any other day can i...

LOL im thinking cause its fillits it might just fall of the hook and be a complete waste of time, and yeh the fish might get offended trying to catch them with BASA

great day for bird watching but crap day for fishing, one gar, two tommies and one squid. the water went cloudy and that was the end of our fishing, i also wonder if the divers with their anto shark equiptment cares offish as well

Yes it was awesome fun, going gain next year but no tuna next time just snapper, we coverd a massive area but im pretty sure it was east of the island, there was some rocks like a small island, i ws more concerned about the tuna lol,

saturday will be kid free and hopefully plenty of fish, im getting a new ugly stick rod, hitting rapid bay first then second valley for squid if no success at rapids, hopefully we will have lots of fish to show
