  1. Yep, bloody typical . . . I've been stuck at work every non-hurricane day lol
  2. Couldn't find one in local shops you say? Hmmm . . . Looks like a great idea Mate, reckon the Guru might start playing around with the sewing machine soon
  3. Keen as Bruh . . . only chance I've had to head out so far though I took the kidlets and spent the whole time keeping them away from everyone else's gear lol
  4. I use "A" normally but generally stick a double (or W) hook underneath.
  5. Sorry mate would have to disagree with you this time. Years ago I used to use frozen and persevered worms with no change In catch rate compared to fresh. For the last fee years I've barely used bait on yfw, If they wont hit the popper I change to a gulp turtleback worm and they smash them harder than bait I recon. Out of curiosity mate, what size jighead are you using? and are you using a stinger hook at all? i've given it a shot slightly with the plastic worms but hadn't found the hook up rate to be real good, might just be down to the size of the whiting that were around at the time thoug
  6. 6ft Gummy on the 315 is the biggest, but saw heaps of action on the salmon and mullies also
  7. Killer effort Man . . . I have a few pallets lying around at Guru HQ too, reckon I might give the double row idea a crack :)
  8. Killer effort on the mud marlin Mate
  9. My 315 was awesome for light to medium surf session (45g star sinker type stuff) and my favourite rod . . . until I took 2 feet off the tip with the car door in a freak wind gust
  10. That sand bar at Southport is quite easily accessible at low tide but my efforts of testing the theory in this comment thread have so far been rather unfruitful
  11. Does it affect your strike rate at all? Have always been very skeptical of dried or salted baits but never actually thought of trying this on cockles. Good idea Mate
  12. Can't quite put my finger on as to why, but I really really like this report for some reason Thanks for the mention Mate, I'm really glad the lure served you well
  13. Figured Elliston and the West Coast would be too easy lol Thinking about heading out to Tumby and hitting the 8-10kg barrels out of the Groups though
  14. I'm glad you found some Mate. I am usally restricted to very small time windows these days . . . Maybe I should take a week off work and just chase the little bast@#ds up and down the coast lol
  15. Seemed like a great idea at the the time. I jumped at the suggestion of heading out with a mate as the wind was looking to be minimal and after all, I am still yet to catch a salmon this season. Seriously, if we head to Waits they will all be surfing the waves at Morgans . . . a Sellicks trip will guarantee the fish are at Southport . . . if we then tried to chase them at Southport, they would head up to Moana and a couple of Goolwa Beach runs have proven unsuccessful also. Starting to think there is actually a mole in the schools, who's sole purpose is to keep a lookout for the Guru and war
  16. Awesome news, just working on one now . . . check your Facebook inbox please Homie
  17. I'm still trying to find them with limited time off available at the moment . . . well played Mate
