Flathead on lures/soft plastics. Nothing better than wading in knee deep water on a nice warm day flicking a minnow and suddenly feeling that hit as you skip it across the bottom.

Aussie salmon :woohoo: Get the big ones on bream gear and you'll have a hoot Or casting to tuna with lures

bream.either bait or lures.good fighters, and very cunning.anything else is a bonus. salmon trout just annoy me, but they are good when nothing else is around.

AUSSIE SALMON, on the metals off the beach, casting into a school and hooking up is the BEST feeling going around, especially on light gear!!

Tinker got a reaction from Alexsfishin1 in Onk Mulloway, Times and techniques?
Crikey, a 10cm mully, they still attack big lures.Jeez they are cute when they are bubs, and some days that seems to be all you get.I really hope to beat my PB mully (only 62cm) this year, and the only way I know I have half a chance is spending as much time on the water (I'm landbased) as possible. At least I can have fun on the bream & STs while waiting for my livie to get smashed. And some good advice...... don't leave your mully rod unattended for too long, they have a habit of stealing rods!!!!!

Just don't try eating Port Jackson sharks.I tried to once on a fishing trip after a few too many brews.I feel sick just thinking about it.Never ever, ever again!

Tinker reacted to Ranger in The South Australian Fishing & Lifestyle Party are looking for new members
I don't see political posts to be advertising as such. This is a minor political party working for an interest which directly relates to fishermen. If it's relevant to us, I am certainly happy for it to be posted on our forums, where you can find information, ask questions, or converse with candidates and/or party members. We attempt to provide a broad spectrum of diversity here, hence the involvement of DENR, PIRSA, RECFISH SA (formerly SARFAC), DRFC, angling clubs, tackle stores, bait suppliers, manufacturers, workshops, and any other relevant group of interest to rec fishermen and boaters........SAFLP is no exception to that. All we request in return, is that they each make an attempt to be active participants, for the benefit of site members. SAFLP in my own view is another group working for your interests, so should you wish, it is also in your interest to enter discussions with them, seek information from them, and air your views and opinions with them.Should the political side of the sport not interest you, we make attempts to confine it to limited areas of the forum, so that you as a member may overlook the posts and simply move on to something of greater personal interest. No member is in any way obliged to support, fund, or join any group, club, business or party you may find contributing on these forums......yet they are all here for your interest should you wish to explore them further. -

Tinker got a reaction from Dylbaa in Beach Worms
Hey Dylbaa, good luck chasing beach worms mate, it can be very rewarding at times, and frustrating at others.I have only tried it a few times so far but have had success at beaches like Tennyson through to Largs Bay.Tried it down the Coorong with same technique and couldn't get any.Just fish frames in an old stocking works for me.Hope this helps,Steve
