  1. How about taking a look at the Torrens around the city area, and see what goes in there for a start.. Oil, fuel.... Who knows what else? trim.6F82AA9B-09BA-409E-AFE2-56C4AF11A37C.MOV trim.EB03C336-ED6B-4265-9977-6E1BD9DB09DA.MOV
  2. Hard to find Japanese models here too. Unfortunately because of the tiny tournament scene here, all the best of the best gear goes where the advertising is... And we're probably bottom of the list in aus. Unfortunate, but true
  3. I'd love a certate! But can't convince my wife to let me spend that much right now. Not saying it's not worth it, just hard to sell to my other half.
  4. Yeah, if you don't have the money to but a good real, you won't be disappointed with what you get. I'd rather buy a new 1. But don't have that option ATM. Still did see very good deals eBay couldn't beatlocally though... Like arid reel and rod for $100 that Rayanannes was offering. So it pays too explore every option!
  5. But always look at customer past feedback, and you can see how other people rate each seller on their purchases
  6. Yeah, a lot are second hand, but they all reconditioned. My reel wS reconditioned, it's description was in the lowest quality of what the company will purchase and resell. So I was quite blown away when I received it, and it looked and felt brand new! I honestly can't fault it in any way. No scuffs, bottom plate like a mirror, 1 crank of the handle, letting it wi d on its own, it just keeps going and going.... Smooth as silk, and dead silent! Drag perfectly smooth and loud... 10/10 reel. So if they described that as ' no one would mistake for new" I'm sure "excellent condition" means.... Just
  7. I baught the caldia at the top, genuine! They are very cheap! But I spend a lot of time looking for them, and they don't come around too often. Lots of photos of them, and they look identical to the real ones, so I don't see how they wouldn't be genuine?
  8. Complex is new. My pick of the bunch / maybe tournament z tied for 1st choice... I'm addicted... not showing the gold but
  9. Good price, but still out of my price range ATM
  10. But what I want I cat find for that cheap... Inlove with this... Actually prefer it to newer models.
  11. But you have to know where to look! And know when to bid or buy! I'm addicted to looking now... Wish I wasn't broke atm
  12. Best reel I've ever owned, and cheapest😏 but took slot of searching time to find that bargain...seen afew good deals lately too...
  13. Thanks for the warning jigger. But I've done my research very well! Can't beat this...
  14. Nice read😄 Dolphins must have been having a soccer game😄
  15. Hmmm.... Might have miss read that 1 when they came out... 😄 Looking online now, doesn't look like the air edge did have AGS.... 😌 probably cod it says cutting edge ...? I dunno... Lol. Could have sworn I read that somewhere last year.... Well, I guess that makes alittle bit more sense now😌 still can't see a handful of guides made lighter making that much weight difference. The reduced friction, would be a pluss. But I'm sure a drop of oil would have 90% similar result.. I know it did win I cast awards... Pitty they don't sell the guides on there own.. (I haven't been able to
  16. But you can get an air edge for $100 with the same guides?
  17. ...like, does it tell you where to cast? or what fish you have on? Or when to strike....? Or maybe have solid gold, diamond encrusted fittings?! Has anybody actually been game enough to try using one of these things?
  18. Honestly.... Can anybody tell me what's so special about these rods? And what could possibly justify the price tag? I just don't see what they could possibly do compared to other rods to make them worth this much??
  19. Was really put off by the tiny guides too initially, but after using it for a while now, I'm a massive fan! You just don't realise how trouble free they are till you go back to using the old bigger ones! ESP at night!! No miss casts, no tangles, no feeling if the weight of you're plastic/bait/sinker... bouncing up and down is there before every cast to make sure it's not twisted around the end guide... Just hassle free 99% of the time! I get so frustrated using my old gear now! So much effort on just that little part is constantly needed when rebating! Not 1 positive in bigger guides to me
  20. I'm still loving my major craft!! I couldn't possibly ask for any more from a rod to tell you the truth... Perhaps even more distance would never hurt... But that's about it... Outcasts all my other rods. Still can't get over its seemingly limitless flex curve! Just doesn't stop! And I'm not game to push it any further than I already have! I busted 5lb braid 8lb Leeder, loading it to the max a few weeks back. Only rated for 1-5lb and can cast 0.5g- 8g. I've coasted whole pilchards on it no worries! And my lightest jig heads with plastics... Nothing else I've ever tried/owned has even come
  21. There was a deal at rayanannes for an arid rod and reel combo for $99. Pretty hard to match that quality anywhere else! 9bb daiwa reels just don't come even 1/4 as cheep as that little beauty!! You can also still find some second hand daiwa air edge rods in great condition for between $60-$100 online. Don't have one personally, but the next cheapest daiwa rods with AGS (air guide system) is over $400. (Ment to be some drastically reduced friction tech allowing a lot further casting)
  22. I only get them for summer, for yellowfin whiting. And only because that's about the best and few baits there is for them. Bloodworms, I wash well, seperate broken from whole, put in clean water from spot I dig, and take plenty water with me. Keep in fridge, water change every day... Last 1 week. (Still alive) not even half as good dead, worse still frozen. Sandworms... Wrap in newspaper, wet paper under tap, fridge for 3days will say alive... Tubies same. Other fish aren't nearly that fussy though... So ready depends what you're chasing
  23. Yup, my luvias! Of all my first reels I bought in Australia, the only 1 that stood the test of both time, beach sand and a lot of saltwater Dunks yfw fishing... Not to mention some serious abuse from the local carp population!! It just kept on going! Still smooth, quiet and never changed a single bearing, of took it in for a single service... Could still hear the drag, (unlike my T.D sol 2000 and 2500) both my sols are more audible when winding, than when a a fish is pulling line off the spool and we'd never the same after just 1 brief salt water bath. The only part on the luvias I did have t
