Great seshin there mate! Nice pics too!

Nice fish mate! Yeah after you chase them on lures, you get a new appreciation for them! Don't think I've taken one home in over 8 years! Apart from some yellowfin bream on holiday in forester. Too good to catch just once!

Went for a flick in the pat yesterday, couple st's and missed a couple good hits... Bloody Dolphins stuck in there again having a field day terrorising the bream... Guessing there going to be there for a while too before the gates open at the rite time to allow them to exit... I'm sure they're going to put a dent in the local fish population!! Not to mention the huge army of shaggs hunting up and down in a huge procession! Never noticed so many of them in there before!? Though it has been a while since I fished it -
You can also buy another spool and keep you're braid just incase you don't like it, or are unsure I've got spares on all my reels, with thicker, mono and Fluro. Gives you a lot of options, and helps if you get spooled!

I'm thinking of trying 2lb when I get back... When I get my birthday present
-
That improved vanish 3lb definately let me down most of the time on my stiffer rod on carp barbs! And in 4lb... But good on the soft rod in 3lb. Awesome in every other way though! Didn't need to change it much after a lot of medium, 50-60cm carp. Not much discolouration after busting it in snags still good strength ater at least 4-5 of them, I'd say. That can be big problem when fishing 2lb like I'm guessing you're Gona

Suppose you need to look at the stretch factor for what rod type you have... I don't pay enough attention to that mysef! I've found that helps if you have a stiffer rod, it's better to have some stretch (not as much as mono with longish leaders. But softer rods, I like very low stretch, as it helps for hook setting power when you can't get tight enough to get a good strike in with those ones that catch you sleeping😄

Sorry, 😄 does that sometimes...

I do rate sunline aswell! Value for money, and beats especualy for diameter! As thin or thinner than the most expensive brands out there from what I've had to compare it to. I've heard it lacks on abrasion resistance... Hard for me to comment on that since I only used it for Y.F.W and carp... Keeps its strength for a good amount of time too after breaking off. I've been quite happy with this, though only had 1 snag so far, but got a lot of bream with very pointy teeth, and never had a scuff all day.

Wow!! That's a fat 1!! Awesome fish there!! Is there a Brooke trout in there 2? Never been on the fly fishing section before... well done mate, should have weighed it.. Don't think they get much bigger than that...?! Definaty thinking of saving up for a fly rod now 2!!

Nice mate, I know it's an old post, but I missed it somehow... Given me something to think about very well done!!
