  1. Here is Ari Ralph with a 68cm Flathead he caught near Sir Isaac’s. Very nice catch Ari. We also have Joanna Molloy with a nice Salmon caught at Gunyah on Sunday. Joanna said that she bled the Salmon straight away and it was beautiful on the plate that night.   2. Blake Peak caught this Snook at Thistle Island that was weighed at 3Kg. Jackson Smith was lucky enough to get a double header of a 43 and 49cm King George Whiting out at Thistle as well. Good work Jackson. Ash Smith of Arno Bay Fishing Adventures has found some nice Tuna on his last few charters. The Salmon have been very patchy at Locks Well and off the beaches, but there are lots of King George Whiting and Flathead to make up for the lack of Salmon. Almonta /
  3. Peter “Sharky” Sharland was relaxing with a drink out the front of his house in the Tumby Bay Marina. Using squid for bait on a whiting rig he hooked and landed this 84cm mulloway. A celebratory brew after and Sharky went on to land a nice flathead as well! Now for what was biting and where Elliston / Sheringa Try the Elliston jetty for Tommies and Squid. Anxious bay boaties are reporting King George Whiting. First beach at Sheringa had reports of good sized Tommies, Mullet, King George Whiting and the odd Flathead. Any Snapper that have been accidentally caught must be returned to the water. If possible, use a net and remove the hooks from the fish without lifting it out of the water to increase the survival rate. PLEASE NOTE: The Closed season for Snapper in all SA waters starts at midday the 1st of November and ends at midday the 15th of December.   13. The Australian Salmon Fishing Championship The Australian Salmon Fishing Championship finished at the end of august. The heaviest salmon for August and also the heaviest for the entire comp was a 5.485kg fish caught by Robert Hannford of Whyalla. Second was 5.280kg caught by Clint Kassebaum of Pt Lincoln. Third was 4.710kg caught by Dale Jackson of Victor Harbour. All were caught from Talia Beach.
