Sheringa has seen Tommies, Whiting, Mullet and a few nice flathead caught by shore based bait anglers. Coffin Bay Big snook, Tommies and salmon trout are appearing in Coffin bay. There is also a few flathead, garfish and squid inside the bay. Soft plastics are accounting for most of the flathead. Out on the reefs, the Blue Morwong and Nannygai continue to keep anglers busy. The King George whiting have
  6. Now for what was biting and where Elliston / Sheringa There are still plenty of good sized salmon from the surf beaches, both around Elliston and Sheringa. The Elliston jetty is having anglers return good results if they are targeting Tommies, Garfish, and Squid. Sheringa’s First beach has had reports of the odd Flathead, and some fat Tommies. Almonta / Gunyah Beach Not too many schools of Salmon are being spotted by anglers fishing Almonta and Gunya, however some decent fi
  7. A reminder that the Snapper season is now closed until midday the 15th of December. Any snapper accidentally caught while targeting other species must be returned to the water immediately. Now for what was biting and where Elliston / Sheringa Try the Elliston jetty for some decent sized Squid, and plenty of Tommies. Sheringa is having reports of Tommies, King George Whiting, Mullet, and the odd Flathead. Almonta / Gunyah Beach A few reports of good sized salmon have come from here. Most anglers have reported that there are no schools or very small schools of fish visible, but i
  8. Now for what was biting and where Elliston / Sheringa Some good size Australian Salmon are being reported right along this coast. Fish to 4Kg are still being caught by bait and lure anglers. Almonta / Gunyah Beach Better salmon catches when berley was used as salmon schools were not prevalent. Most fish are in small schools or loners hanging around the deeper gutters. Coffin Bay / Farm Beach King George Whiting are being caught by boaties fishing around the Farm Beach area. Silver Trevally are keeping anglers amused when using light gear. Some Snapper from rugger’s through to
  9. METRO Signs of crabs improving with better catches coming in. Some areas like Semaphore are still working hard to get a feed of legal ones. Deeper water around the 7-8 metre mark are producing better size. North of the black pole are doing better but again out in deeper water. The northern beaches are fairing the best with good size crabs and even a few for the rakers. Garfish are steadily getting better along with some nice tommies. Try Brighton, Grange, Semaphore, Silt grounds, Black pole and Port Gawler. Some ruggers are starting to filter in around Brighton and this weekends tides should i

  11. METRO Whiting catches have been quite good in areas around Brighton, West Beach and surprisingly St Kilda. People have been getting a nice feed around the Black Pole with catches ranging from a dozen to 24 fish before they go off. Garfish have been small but there is some good fish north of the Bastard Pole and some nice ones have also showed up at the Norma Wreck. Brighton has a mix of gar and tommies. Squid seem to be in good numbers from Brighton and upto the silt grounds. Crabs are mixed sizes but there is a feed around. Best spots for the crabs have come from the Semaphore a

  15. METRO The broadway is showing signs of some good ruggers showing up. The bag ground and Grange is doing well late afternoons on the whiting. While pletty of garfish size have varied but there should be some good catches around. Tommies have moved in but size is a problem. Nice size for snapper but not quite right for the smoker. You have to work through the small ones. Snook have come in to spawn so trawl in waters of 2.5 - 3 metres of water for best results. Squid are still in good numbers. Port river saw salmon trout and a few mullet in the channels. Mulloway have been thin. West Lakes have
