Went out yesterday with a mate and his Mrs to try and hit up a salmon school locally. Well only a few slightly larger specimens but not what we were after. My mate and I both tried surf poppers, these have been suggested to me a few times now and yesterday had reports of people dragging in untouched bait with the popper slaying the salmon. Not the case with us. The only thing landed on the poppers were an few st's when my mate put a pillie tail on it kinda defeats the purpose. I managed a sand crab, not sure if I foul hooked it on the retrieve but was hoping the popper would actually dete
