Me and a mate stumbled over this spot after drinking a carton of Coronas one arvo. Of course we weren't driving the boat.The mark is about 1km off somerton and is good for crabs in summer time, whiting and flatties in winter, I've caught squid, gar, tommies, salmon trout, dog sharks, little bronzies, rays, leather jackets, rock cod, red mullet, weedy whiting and puffer fish here. It is broken bottom with some weed beds and good patches of sand. There is supposed to a razor fish bed around here somewhere so it holds fish. It fishes better in cloudy or dirty water as it is not very deep. Around 4mt i think. I don't use a fish finder so i couldn't tell you.Anyway here the spot.CORONACoordinates removed.Pm me if you want them.Might see you out there one day in this spot.Save some for me. fred 1 Posted October 8, 2007 Author Report Share Posted October 8, 2007 a mate of mine fished this ground on the weekend. he pulled 9 KG whiting up to 38cm in an hour.
