bennyboy 0
Can work for those who want to sit a bait on the bottom, but can't get the required distance with a cast. Tie a small strip of line off your main swivel, directly to a lifesaver. Then from the lifesaver, tie off around a metre or so of line to a balloon and float the bait out.Once the lifesaver has disolved the balloon attachment comes off, sending your bait down right were you need it....Obviously winds and tides play a big role in this too {SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif

krusty68 0
Used to do something similar years ago but just used 2kg mono to attach the balloon. Once the bait had reached its destination, a good "strike" with the rod and the line would snap and the bait would hit the bottom.. thanks for the life saver tip too ... not sure if they would last the trip down to the jetty though {SMILIES_PATH}/wink.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/grin.gifCheersKrusty
