new to lures

hi ive fished for a few years now, an have all ways used biat.know after reading various posts in this website are know keen to try lures (other than squid jigs). iwould like to know what is the best lure for certian species, an how to rig em is there certan knots for certian lures.as they can be expensive id like to get a bit of knowledge to what to buy. is there a certian rod an reel that is required for different lures obviously with soft plastics you need a jig head. i guess that adds a whole new kettle of fish to lure fishing. by the way of tide movent, current, wind direction so on?finally there is the ultimate the action to reel in your prize lure. all in all its a piece off the action i would like to try. it obviously requires a bit of energy in casting an not sitting there,but sounds so worth it in many aspects. not that i am lazy when it comes to finding fish an fealing that slitest movment on your line that could be the big one. cheers an happy wet lines for allcheers matt

i bought a pin point tournament for $100 recently and its brilliant, good action on the rod. maybe ask the guys at your local bait shop to help you out, and for lures id definantly get some good quality braid. also pm sent
