  2. for the boat....ugly stick.from memory BWB1104 i think....matched to an ABU 7000the rocks......14ft snyder-glas 8 wrap matched to an ALVEY 650C.also have a 15 fotter as well.....its a one piece rod and has some power in it....if ever i was hunting really huge fish, this is the rod i would use.....i will break before it does.... old school but unbeatable...sometimes the simple things in life ARE the best....

  3. some solid fish here.....my biggest from boat..13.2kg and 1015mm...very skinnygood to see some old pics of fish caught from land...at a very good guess black point.if only they were still there, and i recognise a few pics are from whyalla..... and even better to see an old alvey.....you cant beat em....

A man after my own heart {SMILIES_PATH}/grin.gif....the old 650 Alvey, and Snyder Glas Surf Rod landed me many fish over the magical 20 pound from the stones around Whyalla. My biggest were 25,26,28 and 31 pound. Those were the days. :)
and im still getting them from the rocks...just not black point anymore......only got a 3kg last year from there......
