It is the bottom of the Port river taken with one of those suitcase cameras as on ebay location don't remember have a few hundred of these stored on my 500 gig HD sorry I just use them for different projects...the first is taken straight off the warf near the Birkenhead the others are further up stream.

  8. unfortunately not it was a stroker 24kg custom made the reel was a Team Tica 30 WTS game,,lucky for me the rod was replaced by showing them the footage bloody ray took off a that fast it snapped me instantly...Oh well just shows don't lock up a drag on a game reel when playing with big eagles {SMILIES_PATH}/grin.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/rolleyes.gifThe fight was a lot lot longer than what you saw that was the final stages, my arms were dropping off, after around 15-20 minutes of no give at all I was nacked.almost lost the camera man with the force it busted me off with lol
  9. hooked up to a big eagle ray with 24kg outfit the drag was as tight as I could get it to test out my strength something had to give...http://www.tacklelure.com/rodvideo/tica24kgrodsnap.swfthe ray would have been around 30-40kg not a small bugga by any means lucky I didnt loose the whole lot when it took off...
  10. I love my lures soft and hard body the challenge is more a factor than anything else I also fish live baits for my big mully's but have score more than a few using lures of all sorts..

always try and fish sundown to sun up,,,tides don't bother me too much as I have caught everything on any tide, moon and wind plays more of a factor for me...

I have yet to score a over meter on lure so you guys are heads up on me there all mine were old school live baits.Caught plenty [hundreds] of schoolies on lure and plastic just nothing over the meter mark.Well done guys awesome stuff with over meter fish on lures all the hard work paid off... {SMILIES_PATH}/wink.gif Im envious of you both {SMILIES_PATH}/wink.gif
  14. Kimo as usual your flaming has stirred things up now you resort to calling us names for having an opinion ,your a sad sad little man.
  15. Public access areas dont like it dont live there the access was there before they moved in ,,and kimo read the post before jumping on your high horse as usual you love to stir people up where ever you go and I will not bite.
  16. Yes it is public access it is a walkway around the foreshore where many people walk jog walk the mutt etc...Now if there was a sign id have no problems being told but there are no such things there at all and after 5 years this new little rule was made up.You can fish the entrance just not close to the actual beginning of the entrance.
  17. It wasn't chubb it was council security they had council shirts...chubb is at the entrance these guys patrol the streets looking for fishos to tick off..
  18. You are definately right the inlet is a good spot ive watched others on quite a few occasions catching ST and bream there not to mention the odd schoolie sorry if I read your post the wrong way also wasnt my intention to be a {SMILIES_PATH}/lipsrsealed.gif
  19. I haven't got any hair you know that and stop moving me along {SMILIES_PATH}/tongue.gif
  20. I do not ever leave garbage behind don't confuse yourself...
  21. Where ever and what ever outdoor activity you do there is garbage and idiots messing it up for others this has been the case for decades my actual point was being moved from an area without a reason and being threatened without justification...I think you have missed my point
  22. Brenton for starters I uphold the law when fishing and have never bothered fishing the entrance for this very reason. The signs up towards the exit at Bower road all state 3 meters including around the street [parks] etc..Please dont start guessing I deserved the push along as I clearly stated there are and have never been signs around this area for 5 years plus I know there are maybe a couple of 6 meter rules but most are in fact 3 meter or have a yellow do not cross line..Also I am quite aware of the patrols near the entrance im not foolish enough to warrant a fine for doing the wrong thing
  23. Gday just wish to show my utter disappointment in West lakes council. The other night whilst fishing a spot I have frequented more than 3-4 years now I was approached by a council security employee and asked to move on.I asked the bloke nicely and calmly why it was that I had to move on as I had not made a noise except for the splash of my cc predator hitting the water surface for the past 4 hours.I was answered with you cannot fish within 6 meters of any residential dwelling and I had to move on.As I could not see a sign anywhere and had no idea where 6 meters suddenly came from as most signs
  24. It is basically a lanolin based spray and doesn't really appear to affect the fish as far as I can see and I have never added scents to my saltwater hardbodys..I have added scents like halco catch scent to my freshwater lures but haven't really noticed any difference to hook up rates. You can test the difference for yourself and see with and without spraying your lures.I personally don't see a difference except longer lasting trebles and rings and most importantly eyes as trebles and hooks can be replaced but eyes cannot.Plus INOX is food grade approved so its up there with the best..http://www
  25. You say tomato I say tamato a nudge is as good as a wink to a blind bat.
