Try this area for Whiting and Snapper, Whiting on any in coming tide, Snapper on the out going tide, generally early morning, be there b4 sunup and late evening, around dusk till dark and laterBe aware of the depth of water under you if you come in at dark and a low tide, many a novice to the area has sat through a change of tide34-14-618138-04-839Dont blab about this area 'cos it was a secret spotPic of Snapper caught at this spot 2 months ago. Plenty of Squid in the area as wellGood luck, you wont need luck, good fishingO

If the umpire had put his whistle away like most are saying he should, you would have been 2 behind. Its a fight to the finish now.

2 rounds to go and 3 selections to makeGood tipping to those of us still in the fightRemember to tip with the head and not the heart

Come on fishos, we are still all alive, now the pressure is really on, its like having 25lb Snapper on a 10lb line and 20 lb drag set, if you keep your cool you will land the big fish.Best of luck to those who are still in the huntOspray(Prowling Panther)

ta, but none of us are over the line yet, there are still the finals to go, my rod is still in its case.
-
With only one round to go it would seem pretty hard to catch up 2 games, but the pressure is on not to slip from the top now.

I had an old squid jig, wrapperd it in foil then wound coloured bands around it, one of the most productive squid catchers I ever had, finally lost it when a huge cuttlefish grabbed it and broke my line, never done another one since.

You and me both, thank god we got a point each for the drawFriggin St Kilda, going down today cost me the perfect round.

see, hugs and kisses always work.

For those that tipped the Lions to win in Tasmania, that took a bit of guts, because 99% of tipsters would have tipped the Hawks to win that one, well done fellas, a tight comp is a good compPanther Prowleraka Ospray

Reading this thread, made me look thru the shed cupboards for my old 650c Alvey reel, who services them around Adelaide?I haven't used this reel for over 30 years, probably close to 35 years, it seems to be locked up at present, I did pull lit to peices and cleaned it out, still got the original grease on the pinion wheel and the ratchet, even the fiber washers look like they are in good condition.Have to admit, when they take off everyone can hear the scream of the Alvey

Forgotten, cripes I have forgotten more things to forget than I can rememberAt Nth Haven when it was a busy day I forgot to take the staps off the back of the boat/trailer, wondered why I couldn't get the boat off and it kept sling shotting back up the trailer everytime I braked suddenly to release the boat.Another time at Pt Turton, forgot to put the bungs in, luckily there was no one else around at the time, so it was a quick back on the trailer and bungs replaced before anyone else turned up.Went out from Pt Hughes early one morning and realized i forgot to fill up with petrol before we headed out, got out near the end of the jetty when I realized, then had to wait over half an hour for the servo to open upForgot to buy gents when we went gar fishing , then found out we had no other bait as well.Forgotten to take hooks with me on a few occasions, oh well they were nice days for boating.Went somewhere dont remember where, for a few days, forgot the sleeping bag, had to buy another when I got their.the worst of the lot is when you forget to take a knife with you, you dont realise how much of a pain in the ass that is until you haven't got oneI agree with SuperT dont tell your missus until the day, that way she only stresses about it for an hour or so, not 5 days before you go.I almost forgot, I did forget the handbrake on the HQ at Smokey Bay ramp, only thing that didnt get wet was the front wheels, it wasnt to bad tho, when i drained the water from behind the seats, I found 2 salmon trout and a tommy. Now besides all of that, I rekon I do alright.
