breambo25 1
Hey Ubolt. I have had a Daiwa Redback 4-8lb for about 8 months now and think it's a fantastic rod for bream luring. I cannot reccommend it more highly. It has a strong butt and a great tip for casting lightly weighted plastics and hard-bodied lures. Retailing for about $180 at BCF it is pretty good value. It features IM7 graphite, a fuji reel seat as well as alconite guides. In terms of reel choice. If you have the dollars I would go with a Daiwa Sol. Obviously it is a great reel and will last you quite a long while as long as you keep it in good condition.
__matt__ 0
if its in good nick get the imx blend (so long as its that model) loomis dsr 820s that dancing bream has for sale up here. not as 'blingy' but a great rod for big bream and its up here for a bargain. reel wise go a 2500 daiwa, something from the sol/kix platform are the best bang for buck imo.cheers, matt.
