rocknev 2
found a neat trick to float a bait out a LONG way then release it to fish the bottom.i use a balloon with a lifesaver attatched...(the candy sort..not the saviers)i tie the balloon to a lifesaver, then the lifesaver to the swivel...i use a lead, cast it out and it drifts with the tide and wind....the sweetie desolves and when through it releases and drops the bait.....i can get around the 300-400 mtres sometimes if wind and tide running well.i dont know if its an old trick or not...ive seen people using balloons before but they were floating a bait and it stays floating...first time i tried it, i couldnt work out how to attach the balloon to line and to swivel...so i ate the sweets, they were yummy as well...im wondering how many will add lifesavers to their tackle boxes now.
