fridge 6
what sort of casting distance would be likely achieved with a 4 gram popper.i am using a catana 702 two piece about 7 foot long line rated 2-4 kg,with a shimano stradic 3000 spooled with 2 kg finns braid.i think im only achieving 20-25 metres was hoping for more.so what distanc do you popper fishers normally achieve
statesquider 0
With a weight light that I certainly wouldn't get more than 20m I reckon. If there is no breeze (never bloody happens when lure fishing) then i'd maybe get to 25m.I normally use a tcurve 2-4kg 7 footer with a 2500 ci4 spooled with 8lb.Can never cast far enough!!!!I use the heaviest smallest poppers i can to maximize distance when fishing for whiting/bream. But I can peg a 9 gram stickbait a mile!
