ausea 4
I’m looking at making a long gaff which can be used off rocks or beach for shark.Needs to be sectional in 2 piece for transport.I guess something 10-12 foot.Any suggestions ??
Snappa110 1
To connect and disconnect the gaff...if U hav access to a lathe id turn down a solid piece of ally bar to just underside the inside of the diameter of the tube and put a knurl on the bar for grip then part it off about 10mm thick, drill a hole off centre to the piece of bar and bolt it to the end of the tube (loose so it can move around) that slides inside the other piece of tube and there's a twist and lock mechanism. Cheers fisho[/quote']Try Contract Cleaning Services now in Forestville.Thye have a good range of extedable poles in different lengths up to 3or 4 sections, with fittings that can take adaptions, and theyd be lighter than the Pool scoop handles Otherwise sureley a tackle supplier would have what u want ?
