paulgreenacre 0
Just when he was about to pack up, his pike balloon decides to take off at high speed, as a 5th large pike takes the final sprat dead bait mounted on a single barbless hook. Paul plays the fish and then shows you how to chin the fish before removing the hook with his hands. The fish is recovered and then shoots off to fight another day.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RP6x4uiFuMo&feature=colike urhookedfish
afishyfish 4
Any idea of how the place came to be called Last Knockings ? So you balloon out dead baits on Pike ?Most here do that for the bigger Bities
paulgreenacre 0
the place isn't called "last knockings"- its just the last few minutes before it gets too dark to fish. The them came from when some one would knock on your door and ask you to leave before it got too dark.I like to use balloons for dead-baits - as long as they are bi-gradable in case of a smash up.they give me good support and cost less than 1p each. you can get them any colour and adjust size to fit size and weight of bait. I also use them on live baits - its nice to see a balloon go under.
