Damo67 6
Gday all , Heading to Byron Bay next wednesday for a week for sister in laws wedding. For the time in not out surfing does anyone know of what the fishing is like that way? Can you take rods as carry on luggage? Flying Jetstar. Cheers Damian
CallopHunter 1
Heard the bake-fish are common, also the blazed snapper, watch out for smokin sharks coz they will turn your catch into half-baked fish. They have some nice smokers over there so another great method for preparing your fish! Damo67
Drew 0
Pretty sure byron itself is a sanctuary zone. Brunswick heads just to the north has fishing in the river or on the breakwall at the river bar. A bloke i talked to thee said they get Mulloway off there at times. i think it has a fair bit to do with the flow from the river. Damo67
