Magoo 152
2.7m/9' nibble tip, bought cheap on ebay long ago, never got a centrepin Alvey type reel to suit so pinched two larger guides off a Daiwa with broken tip & swapped lower two over making it a spinning rod, I think'll work ok? Don't have proper rod thread, but have some ultra strong thread for stitching tarp's will do Neither have a rod lathe, so I'll just use a large cardboard box with Vs cut out each end Only need to buy a small jar of epoxy ... or I could be real tight & use Mrs. nail polish

brenton 637
Most of those nibble tips are rubbish Magoo but not all,if you come into some money (about 120 bucks)have a look at the Tica nibble tip extreme in the 8'6 great rods for a number of scenarios. cheers nereus
Magoo 152
Ended up using that thread & 4 coats nail polish, superglued the guide feet feels solid, it'll do for mullet/tommies etc. have a Shimano 2000 rear drag with 4LB mono for it Had a look at those Ticas, Aussie design by Juro ... http://www.jurofishing.com/index.php/products/tica/tica-rods/tica-nibble-tip-extreme-detail
