Jewelz 0
I agree, had a look & registered but don't understand how any marks would get to Google Earth.
chickencoop 0
The site is still in development, and i hope to have a small forum up and running soon to answer problems/questions/suggestions.In regard to your question - once you have registered and entered there is a line which says.[i:238ejdpw]To open the placemarks in Google Earth Left Click Here and save, then open from within Google Earth[/i:238ejdpw]Basically you click the link Left Click here and then it will prompt you to either open or saveAt this point you click save. Then you have two options - you can right click on the file that has been saved to your hard drive and select open with to which you select Google earth. orfrom in google earth you go to FILE->OPEN and you select the file that was saved to the Hard drive.I hope this helps... You questions have prompted me to make a FAQS page ....
Bravado 0
So even though I have Google earth as a shortcut on my desktop I have to download it again via your link. Is this right?
Guest dabilda
All you would d/l from there would be a google earth data file. By either clicking on the file or going to "open" in google earth the data in the file will be mapped by the program that is already on your computer.DaBilda
chickencoop 0
Thats right DaBildaBravado all you are downloading from my site is a google earth data file. its called satopspots.kml which contains the data for all the placemarks. You will only need to download Google Earth if you dont have it already installed on your computer.
Kingsley 19
Why don't you use flashearth.com instead of getting people to download google earth and save this, open this etc...Just use a frame page or something when you click on the 'view placemark' button to open up a flashearth link.like this one...It's our Gulf!Just a thought, would make it easier to view the marks. chickencoop 0
Thats the first ive heard of flash earth.I dont think it is a popular as google earth. Also i am not sure that it handles placemarks like google earth does...
